From 2026, we’ll no longer be sharing our work or monitoring this account. We’ve never been particularly effective at packaging up our work to suit the algorithm - and with Zuckerberg’s new politics, AI scraping and concerns around the impact of social media on mental health - we’ve decided to stop sharing our work altogether. Instead, we’re going to put our creative energy and time into a newsletter showcasing positive work taking place on our doorstep. We’ll see what happens when we communicate in slower, more considered ways, allowing ourselves time to think outside the grid and build real world connections. We see this experiment as a natural evolution of our practice; questioning ‘business-as-usual’ norms and foregrounding sufficiency and sustainability. We look forward to having deeper conversions, undertaking thoughtful research and seeing more of the real world in 2026. We really do want to keep in touch… follow the link in our bio to sign up to the newsletter. 🐦 No pigeons were harmed in the making of this photograph! 📸 @alex_macdougall

In 2026, we’re trading the noise of social media for an experiment that explores a deeper, more thoughtful approach to connection. To do this we’re launching a print and digital newsletter as well as running a series of get-togethers throughout the year. Sign up for the ‘The Edition’ and receive: • Quarterly themed newsletters - the first theme is play! • Interviews and conversations with our collaborators showcasing positive, inspirational work. • Invites to get-togethers at the studio. We promise slower, more considered insights into what we, and other inspiring individuals we work with, are up to. Join us in building a more grounded, reflective conversation about the built environment.

Editional Studio is an architecture practice committed to working within planetary boundaries. We design homes and public spaces specialising in passive house and retrofit; creatively adapting existing buildings to reduce their energy use. Through our research we advocate for a low-carbon built environment and explore how resourceful, creative design and sustainable materials can help to restore and regenerate natural systems. The studio is featured in the Architects’ Journal’s ‘40 under 40’ - ‘a who’s who of the nation’s next generation of boundary-pushing designers and innovators’ and the Architecture Foundation’s book - ‘New Architects 4’ showcasing ‘the best British architecture practices of the last 10 years.’ We do not regularly monitor this account - head over to our website to get in touch.
