A Tease and mix of some of our works đ¤ with music by Mihai Dobre
Project Pomegranate is an interdisciplinary collective founded by Edith (choreographer) and Lea (filmmaker), grounded in the belief in shared effort, collaboration, and collective authorship. The collective works at the intersection of dance and film, creating movement-based and narrative art that evokes reflection, empathy, and embodied experience.
â
At the heart of Project Pomegranate lies a strong sense of artistic responsibility. The collective understands art as a powerful social force - one that can create a sense of âusâ, foster empathy, and highlight what we share rather than what separates us.
Working from a feminist and queer perspective, the collective is interested in giving voice to stories from the margins and beyond dominant narratives, and in engaging with socio-political thematic complexes through embodied and cinematic storytelling.
With the wish to break normative expectations and create space for new narratives in film, particularly around sexuality, intimacy, and the body, the collective resists neat narratives and definitive conclusions, favouring complexity, fluidity, multiplicity, and diverse identities and experiences.
Rooted in ethics of consent, collaboration, and respect, Project Pomegranate wishes to foster working processes that are non-hierarchical, collaborative, and grounded in exchange.
In addition to the artistic work, Project Pomegranate offers Intimacy Coordination for film and stage. We see this as part of a broader and necessary development within the industry - toward safer sets and rehearsal rooms, consensual working environments, and a culture of respect.

UPCOMING WORKSHOP In Berlin
Listening Practice with Edith Buttingsrud Pedersen
Dance Workshop
âWith a focus on listening; to our body, the space and everything around us. We will work towards freeing the body and mind from its determination and ordinary paths, and encourage each other to develop layers of complexity in our physical language and performative expression. We will invite laughter as much as tears and look for rooms of resonance, where we can make our body : open, attentive, and ready to be moved. â
Open to professionals and people with interest in moving.

The Love project nr. 1 is an invitation to embrace love as a choice, a verb to be acted upon.
As Bell Hooks writes âlove is an active force that leads us into communion with the world.â What would it mean to carry love like that, intentionally, daily? And can we bring this into the ways in wich we create dance and theater? How can we actually meet each other - with open eyes, with care? How do we create spaces not only of agreement, but of connection beyond agreement?
It is easier said than done.
Love is loaded, with associations, with desire, with memories of pain and loss, with need. It is entangled with the ecstasy of falling in love and the ache that follows.

The love project no.1
â not sure what I want or need as I have no sense of my self without you. I have entered a state of dependency , this thing, this âusâ, I have glorified, and wished for now feels like a burden, an amputation of my self.
A Hang out, became dating, dating became sex, sex became mind blowing, mind blowing , became âseems like loveâ, âseems like loveâ became love, and love became âare we in relationship?â, and then it became âusâ - I went into plastic surgery when that happened, and out came this morphed existence, a body that can only exist with your body near it.. How dumb.â

The love project no. 1
âCan you do love?â - love not as a feeling, but as a verb, as something we choose, something we do consciously. Not in a âfree love,â rose-colored-glasses kind of way, and not only in the romantic sense, but as a way of being, a way of seeing. Maybe even as a political act.
Love is loadedâwith associations, with desire, with memories of pain and loss, with need. It is entangled with the ecstasy of falling in love and the ache that follows.
In The love project nr. 1 we propose a way of walking, of being, with love. We explore Love as something mystical, something we long for. A force that pulls us into the most absurd spirals, into the most beautiful transformations. Love as a power, a way of life. As something deeply human. As a counter to fear. As a quiet revolution.
In our current climate, where division and fear often dominate, we seek to portray love as a powerful counterforceâone that invites connection, collaboration, and understanding.
