Would have loved to have gone inside, but La Géode, a spherical cinema dating to the 1980s, at La Villete in Paris, is getting renovated.
They got very close to full sphericity, to about 4/5ths, which is closer to than the 2/3rds Vegas sphere lately in the news.
Still underwhelms as a result, however.
Au revoir dear sphere, it’s been a blast.

Quite emotional!
Such a hoot to meet up with @kraejiyaeji whose epic playlist has been enchanting audiences these last six weeks at the Sonic Sphere.
A stalwart of my wife’s DJ sets, we discussed among other things bringing a lab sphere to NYC to ease the path to fully 3D music production.
There’s nothing like the buzz of a newsroom on a busy news day.
Was amazing to watch the brilliant @rosannascotto at work on the live news segment of @fox5ny as a burning crane collapsed in mid town as choppers circled it laden with cameras.
Twice I was about to go on air when a live update and then a mayoral news conference intervened.
Eventually was most grateful to be able to speak of @sonicsphere ‘s last few days of programming including live shows with @rolfekent and @romain__collin in the coming days.
It was also great fun seeing other segments (a new exfoliating for the scalp) and the weather forecast (in front of green screen) getting piped out in the buzzing studio environment.

All told a surreal honour to share the time with these titans and sculpt ideas for how to take the Sonic Sphere to the next level.
Both Mike and Marina dug the idea of a sonic sphere in every town. Just a case of execution, and keeping up our habit of relentlessly taking it to the next level every few months.
