Hi everyone!!, My name is Peace Elizabeth Edward and this is my entry video for the Fashion illustration competition by @dotuncollins.studio .
THEME: MODERN NIGERIAN FASHION
Modern - Pertaining to current or recent time.
Nigerian - Of or from Nigeria; Nigeria is a country with different tribes, culture and attires. If the theme was Modern African fashion, I would have gone for prints cos generally, Africans are big on prints,but this is about Nigeria.
STYLE INSPO : What is the trend in Nigerian fashion today that unites us as a people? - ASO-EBI!!! Especially for wedding parties. So I combined some trendy details in fashion styles today to this outfit; Corset, Queen Anne neckline, trumpet sleeves, draping, beading, embroidery etc and yes personally I think Gele is the crown of most ASO-EBI outfits.
COLOURS : The green plant detailing on the dress was inspired by the green on the Nigerian flag 😅(Agriculture) And for me the plant symbolizes GROWTH!!,as for the blue it screams ROYALTY,it's also my favourite colour.
I AM ROYALTY,I FLOURISH AND PROSPER IN ALL THAT I DO.
