Here we are with the CAMS team this weekend at @vueltaalteide in Tenerife - one of Europe’s most iconic but most punishing cycling destinations. 🚴♂️⛰️
The famous Vuelta al Teide demands serious fitness, endurance, and mental resilience, with relentless climbs, altitude fatigue, steep gradients, and dramatic temperature swings pushing every rider to their limits 🥵🔥

Thanks for @lloydsbankinggroup and @britishcycling for having me at their networking event in the iconic Liver Building last night.
Great chance to share a few ups and downs from my Olympic career, some of the principles that helped underpin our success, and the exciting work we are doing to use our reach and influence to bring the joy of cycling to those who face the biggest barriers 💪 🚴 🏆

One of the biggest lessons from this journey so far: you need a meaningful “why” to get through the toughest moments.
Olympic cyclist @ed.clancy shared some brilliant advice with the team before one of the hardest days on the bikes and it really stayed with us.
When the miles get hard, the weather turns or the setbacks come, it’s your reason for starting that keeps you moving forward.
For us, that reason is raising awareness for young people’s mental health and showing the importance of resilience, support and community.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of going for a spin with this guy @ed.clancy to see how he’d get on hitting one of the black runs @bikepark_wales The full vid is now live on @globalmountainbikenetwork and we had an absolute blast, he smashed it and will definitely need to lure him out for another vid.
