🎭 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🎭
Our theater education and TYA students have been on the road to Greenville, South Carolina, where they’re soaking up the magic of professional children’s theater and expanding their artistic perspectives. The group had the opportunity to experience the beloved production Dragons Love Tacos, escorted by Professors Rasor and Shoaf, and also attend a performance of Steel Magnolias to explore storytelling across generations.
From laughter and creativity to powerful performances, the students have been having a wonderful time learning, connecting, and being inspired by live theatre at its best. Experiences like these make all the difference in preparing the next generation of theatre educators and artists! 🌟
We may be nearing the end of the semester, but we still have plenty of great activities and events to share! 🎉
Don't miss all the final exhibitions, recitals, and showcases, and remember to sign up for the many summer camp opportunities we have for young students age 8 to 18! We really do have something for everyone.
Pictured here: A scene from "The Jungle Book Kids" last summer (don't miss our kids drama camp again this summer, featuring "Finding Nemo Kids"); and pianist Wei-Yi Yang, who will perform at this summer's East Carolina Piano Festival. 🎭 🎹
Catch our May and summer events calendar linked in our bio and don't miss a moment! 💫 🔗

🎓 Senior Spotlight | Behind the Scenes of Galileo 🎭
As we bring Brecht’s Galileo—reimagined for today—to life, we want to celebrate two incredible seniors whose work you may not see onstage, but feel in every moment of the production.
✨ Cait Hall, our Stage Manager, has been the steady force holding it all together—guiding rehearsals, coordinating performances, and making sure every moving piece lands exactly where it should.
📚 Megan Jones, our Dramaturg, has shaped the intellectual heartbeat of the show—digging into Brecht, history, and interpretation to help ground our modern adaptation and deepen the story we’re telling.
Theatre doesn’t happen without passionate, thoughtful leaders like these. We are so proud of Cait and Megan and grateful for their artistry, dedication, and countless hours behind the scenes. 💙
👏 Join us in celebrating them as we head into our final performances!
Brecht Meets Now
Galileo challenged the universe. We’re challenging power.
