How adorable are these planters?! Our board member and ECU alum Audra Cox created and donated these colorful pieces to our upcoming pottery sale fundraising event! We are seeking more pottery donations for the event, all levels welcomed. Drop off pots thru 4/30 at either the ECU SoAD main office at Jenkins, at Emerge Gallery, or at Farmers & Makers Market.
🪴 Potted With Purpose🪴 will take place from 5-8pm on First Friday, May 1st at @farmersandmakers , downtown Greenville. Swing by early for the best selection of available pots - they sell fast!! 🤗
The Quiet Migration of Belonging is an exhibition created
by MFA candidate Narges Sedaghat.
Belonging is approached here as a suspended condition,
not fixed but continuously shifting in between.
Through layered typography, laser cut forms, and light,
text is not read directly but experienced through shadow, distance, and movement.
Three suspended transparent layers trace a passage of belonging,
home, transition, and arrival,
where the viewer’s body becomes the background,
activating the work.
Meaning remains fragmented and delayed,
held in tension between presence and absence.

Graphic design has gone to the dogs! And today is World Art Day, so help us celebrate! 🐶 🎉
We joined Holly Kellogg, an @ecusoad and @ecu_honors senior, at her "Borrow a Buddy" event earlier this month — a fun outing for puppies and people alike — as part of her senior thesis and Signature Honors Project.
Check out some of the sweet puppies here, listen to Holly talk about her design project, and hear from the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina @hsecarolina and some of the attendees.
Stop by Gray Gallery at Jenkins Fine Arts Center this Friday, April 17, to see Holly's photos of the dogs, and more from our graphic design seniors during their end-of-semester exhibition. Congrats to all our makers! 🎨
