On today’s episode of “back to the 80s” - Gremlins; was responsible for the Pg-13 rating? Gotta love those little monster but don’t feed them after midnight! Originally pitched as a graphic R rated horror there was a chance that this movie would have been dramatically overlooked. Now this movie is played every Christmas Eve in the ecto 1 household.

Called quirky and “different” our Easter tradition comes from a basket my mother got me when I was a preteen and we were alittle financially down on our luck. Living in the negatives from check to check my mother did her best to make every holiday special and with a birthday in April Easter was always extra frugal. However that financially restrained basket may have been one of the most impactful gifts of my life. Candy 🍬 (obviously) popcorn a few bottles of old school root beer and 2 dvds; my cousin Vinny (1992) & ghostbusters (1984) we sat on the couch snacked and had a movie Easter marathon. It was then that I learned what good movies are and now every Easter we watch those two classics my cousin Vinny and ghostbusters.
