Come to Nepal or in Newari, "Nepa Ya Thau" is not a tourism campaign. It is not a fashion editorial. It is something rarer: a sustained visual argument that Nepal deserves to be understood, not just visited.
Three landscapes. Three chapters. Annapurna Base Camp, where dark silhouettes rise against white vastness at 4,000 metres. Chitwan, where warm jungle light filters through sal forest and earth-toned linens settle into the river's edge. And the ancient sacred cities of the Kathmandu Valley, where traditional dress from Newar, Gurung, and Brahmin communities meets stone and gold that has held those same fabrics for centuries.
Every garment, made in Nepal. Every location, a co-author.
This March–April,
@ecsliving brings you inside one of the most ambitious visual undertakings Nepal's contemporary creative scene has produced, a project four years in the making, shot across the full breadth of the country, and built on one quiet, powerful belief: that Nepal has always been this.
Twelve months. Three chapters. One country, seen in full.
