We’re putting the spotlight on some of our favourite picks from Beyond Game Jam: BiasBreakers! Today’s featured game is: You Are Not Alone Guide two spirits through a minimalist, top-down maze where separation is the only danger. For this puzzle, connection is your lifeblood. With no death mechanics, you play as non-human entities prioritising mutual wellbeing to escape. Safety isn’t a backup; it’s an active, mandatory tether. Stay close; you are not alone. 🎮 Check out all game submissions: link in bio. If you liked any of the games, be sure to leave a note for the developers to let them know! — Special thanks to @igdahq Manila, @womeningamesasia , ECPAT Malaysia, @ecpat_indonesia , and all regional partners.

Children and young people play and learn in online gaming communities, which is why community safety needs to be designed with them in mind. The great news: Moderators and safety teams now have access to the new GS Academy, a free learning platform built to strengthen community safety. We're so grateful to @gamersafer for trusting us with this collaboration! Each module reflects what child protection expertise and a genuine commitment to online community safety look like in practice. What GS Academy learners can gain: - Practical, actionable knowledge about technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and abuse - Scenario-based training grounded in real Minecraft and Discord experiences - Easy-to-follow guidance on writing rules, improving reporting, and responding to harm, in line with our gender sensitive safeguarding principles If you're someone managing an online community, especially in the gaming scene, this platform is for you! And if you've been working on something similar, we're all ears and eager to connect. Explore it now: link in bio.

Our new campaign, Choose to See Them, begins with a simple question: Will you choose to look at children and the harm they face? Want to know what you can do? 🇨🇴 Half of all cases of tech-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse in Colombia were perpetrated by someone the child knew. This includes family members, romantic partners, and friends. New #DisruptingHarm findings show that this form of abuse is often rooted in existing relationships and not just anonymous online interactions. Proximity and trust are exploited through digital means, making it harder for children to report or even recognize abusive behaviours. Discover the findings from Colombia & recommendations on how to end this harm ➡️ link in bio. @unicefinnocenti @interpol_hq @safeonlinefund

More than 1 in every 5 children in Colombia were subjected to technology-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse in just one year, according to new #DisruptingHarm research presented during yesterday’s press conference in Bogotá by @ECPAT @INTERPOL_HQ @SafeOnline and @UNICEFInnocenti .   Over a third of children never told anyone, because they didn’t know where to go or who to tell, or felt ashamed and blamed themselves. Preventing and addressing this violence requires:  🟣 tackling stigma and harmful stereotypes that keep victims silent. 🟣 equipping families, schools, and professionals to support children without blame or judgement 🟣 ensuring safe, accessible reporting and support for all children   🔗Find more recommendations in the report at the link in bio.
