We are truly excited to invite Ecko Bazz to this years festival! Get ready for an intense and fiery concert!
Since his incendiary debut LP Mmaso released on Hakuna Kulala in 2022, Ugandan conscious rapper and acrobatic MC, @eckobazz has rapidly rose to international success. His style is an amalgamation of supernatural trap intensity, demonic nu-dancehall, and politically-incensed Lugandan poetry exploring violence, religion, or the poverty in the Ugandan slums. Anyone that has the privilege of seeing him live will know what to expect from his feverish flow and his fire-manic presence. The rapper alternates freely between sober truths and hyperactive screams, flipping from bar to bar over beats by Debmaster, Slikback, and UK producer PQ (Nightmare song) among others.
We are very happy to reveal the second batch of artists for ALTER! Once again the artists in question challenge and experiment with their respective crafts – thereby pushing the boundaries of the ever-changing musical landscape.
The next 6 artists for ALTER are:
Ecko Bazz ( @eckobazz )
NYX ( @nyx.edc )
OKI ( @okidubainuband )
snuggle ( @snuggleblog )
Statoil ( @statiskoljemusikk )
Tara Clerkin Trio ( @soundaroundme_ )
For this years’ opening ritual we have invited NYX, who will bring their contemporary choir arrangements in a special one off performance made specifically for the festival.
OKI connects the traditional and the new, being one of the last surviving players of the tonkori - a 5-string harp performed by the indigenous Japanese Ainu people - blending it with more modern genres like dub. Talking of genres, Statoil will bring their ‘static-oil-core’ to the stage - an instrumental genre of heavy, repetitive riffs and shrieking noise.
in the mellow end of the spectrum, both snuggle and Tara Clerkin Trio will bring their contemporary, hazy arrangements - giving the audience time for introspection in a hectic world.
Lastly, you can expect an amalgamation of supernatural trap intensity and demonic nu-dancehall when Ecko Bazz steps up to the mic - with his feverish flow and his fire-manic presence.
There are still tickets available through our website!

Ecko Bazz steps on stage with a raw, gripping presence. His deep, rough voice moves between tight precision and bursts of emotion, carrying a sense of urgency and spirit. Every line feels alive with purpose, even if I don’t understand a single word.
Assyouti’s sounds (here he plays a Debmaster beat) lifts the performance into something almost ritualistic, with heavy bass, twisted rhythms, and intense, atmospheric textures that seem to open another dimension around his voice.
This is not just rap, it’s a live invocation. A powerful, midical, deeply emotional journey. Ecko Bazz and Assyouti together create a storm that rips through the body and lingers in the soul. #dreamteam #nyegenyege2025 #🔥
Celebrating 10 years of NYEGE NYEGE a platform that's brought the sickest most forward thinking artists from all over the world. Tonight I hit the DARK STAR stage at 3am, together with @assyoutii . KATI NZE NSIMBUDDE!

Last episode we sat down with @eckobazz to dive into Nsiga Ensigo, his latest EP produced by @stillgramstill and @talpahh — who also joined the convo for a couple of questions. Since Nsiga Ensigo means “sow your seeds,” a self-motivational push to stay in the studio and keep grinding, the chat turned into a look at what his harvest is today: Ecko digging into his inner self, facing life struggles head-on, and turning all that energy into music and bars 🔊🌱
To close the episode, Ecko and Talpah lit up the booth with a fire live performance, showcasing the EP with Talpah delivering the instrumentals on the spot 🗣
