Stop 2 📍Bauska, Rundāle, Šiauliai
A whistle-stop tour with our guide Alex and his mini van, who took us from Riga to castles, palaces and then to one of my highest bucket list items; the hill of crosses, before dropping us off in Vilnius. 100% would recommend this mode of getting between cities, beats sitting on a train or coach for hours on end. We learned so much from our guide and got to see lots of the countryside.
Stop 1📍Rīga 🇱🇻 - partook in some Riga Black Balsam, walked the halls of a KBG prison and meandered among 17th century windmills. Rīga was quite an unusual city in the sense that it was quieter than most cities I’ve been in; you can feel the history of the place at every turn, from the ex-soviet buildings to the street art dotted about.
