Getting to shoot with @saffelsphotography was a total fangirl moment for me and holy hell does he work magic. I still can’t believe that’s me. The lighting, the mood, the *everything*… I’m obsessed.

I had the best time at WonderCon this year 🖤 getting to cosplay Rogue was such a fun challenge for my rusty crafting skills and I could not be happier with how she turned out. Even if I look awkward as hell in most photos cause those skills are equally rusty 😅
Honestly, I haven’t had this much fun at WonderCon—or cosplaying in general—in a few years, and I’ve been thinking a lot about why. Superheroes and comics are what got me into cosplay in the first place, but I haven’t really felt inspired by anything in that world for a while. Marvel Rivals completely changed that for me and got me excited about superheroes again, and it felt so good to get back into a suit. Getting to meet Brittany Cox and fangirl about Angelea was so cool and I wish I’d thought to bring my Angela comics to get signed. I have a feeling there are a few more Rivals cosplays in my future!
I also got to meet one of my favorite authors, Robin Hobb, which was such a cool moment. Still can’t quite believe how fun a panel that was!
This week has been a whirlwind and I’m just now coming up for air, so I haven’t had a chance to really get organized and post photos yet but I’m honestly so excited to start sharing them over the next few days.

As usual I forgot about my phone for most of the event and didn’t take enough pictures of all the amazing birds we had but here are Kielbasa the African Pygmy falcon, Waffles the American kestrel and Weirdy the screech owl.
Central Coast renn faire was a delightful faire and this group puts on an absolutely fantastic show at the faire and gives you the chance to actually handle on of their birds! Highly recommend it to all you renn faire fans!
Now to get to work prepping for Labyrinth ball in three weeks! Going to be sharing sewing progress in my stories.

Still working on this cosplay but it was so much fun to bring the goat to Wondercon this year. I used @layze_michelle ’s patterns as the base for this cosplay with some tweaks to give it my own spin. Can’t wait to finish the props and wear it again!

Upgraded my Izutsumi suit for Anime Los Angeles this year. New suit is made out of stretch minky and so soft! I had originally wanted to make the suit this way but my fabric didn’t arrive in time for Wondercon last year so last minute I tried to dye a spandex dance leotard with limited success. It was the one thing I really wanted to fix for this cosplay and I could not be happier with out came out!
Now I just need to re-do the tail rig so it works with the new suit.

I love character and show so much! So excited that Season 2 has started. I actually broke my own rule and read the manga after season 1 finished cause I was too impatient and now I’m debating starting the novels because I NEED more of this story. It’s just so good.
