Very excited and happy to welcome @atx__y @kemy.obafemi @morganedelfosse @vilette.vilette & @willemdirks_ to our #01 of Radar ! Discover their work at @unseen.brussels on 20/03 and for the following two weeks ! TLDR 20-03 -03/04 156 Rue Blaes, 1000 Brussels Free entrance Radar #01 Of what we do not look (back) at Shadows that slide through the city, faces barely seen, objects lost,abandoned. Blurry, anonymous silhouettes, relegated to the margins of our memory, to the folds of indifference. Where do these lives go, these existences erased by our hurried gaze ? Through an exploration of ghostly presences and traces left behind us, the works exhibited here evoke what persists, what waits to be discovered. By suspending our rush, they invite us to rediscover the essence of what surrounds us, to capture these faces, these objects that make up a secret and silent humanity. Stop, look. Dive into the texture of wear, into the fabric of a neglected daily life. Each work becomes a fragment of existence, a relic of the modern world. What do they tell us, these rejects of days gone by ? This exhibition offers you an immersion in the presences that stand by without us looking back. It is an invitation to acknowledge what we leave in our trail, and reconnect to it.

This summer, I’ve been invited by @echos.ent at their Artful Afternoons to hold two days of free workshops!✨ I wanted people to get in touch with their emotions while letting go their creativity and thoughts through the drawing and the ink painting. For instance I asked them to go and find « a magic pen » which would be anything that could be used as a medium to draw and paint. The unknown medium would give random and unpredictable traits that we would have to deal with in order to create! It’s like if we were creating a picture from the drawing instead of drawing a picture from our mind✍🏽 I also asked the willing ones to sit aside and focus on themselves while I was asking a couple of introspective questions…then they could answer to them with any form of drawing ! We also collectively made a« cadavre exquis » comic after presenting ourselves through drawing ✌🏽 Overall I think we had a great time with one and other and I’m very grateful for all the people who came by! It’s an honor for me that they were able to open up to those naive exercises with some deeper meanings… Thank you for the sharing 🙏🏽✨ Also big thanks to @echos.ent for letting me practice those freedom workshops at the VauxHalles I had a great time ! S/o @semiorka.r7 and @mocs.lab who were introducing their art craft with an initiation workshop on customizing clothes with a airpen !🫡🫶🏽 See you next time maybe 🫵🏽🖤
