12 projects, one Cultural Heritage Cloud.
ECHOES is delighted to introduce the first 12 projects awarded funding through our Cascading Call for contributions of data to the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage.
Heritage Digital Twins, LiDAR surveys, 3D reconstructions, mosaics, recipes, community narratives, at-risk heritage. Twelve pilot projects working directly with the Cloud, shaping the ECCCH ecosystem alongside ECHOES.

Two European infrastructures, one ecosystem for Europe's cultural heritage.
On 18 March 2026, in Poznań, ECHOES and the Europeana Initiative signed a Joint Statement formalising the cooperation between the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage and the common European data space for cultural heritage.
Europeana brings 18 years of public infrastructure for sharing heritage data. ECHOES and the Cultural Heritage Cloud bring a new generation of digital tools for research, science and innovation. Together, they commit to interoperable standards and a shared digital commons.

What do curators and conservators actually need from a Cultural Heritage Cloud?
At the end of March 2026, the Institut national du patrimoine in Paris hosted an ECHOES focus group bringing curators, art historians and conservator-restorers from across Europe around the same table.
A morning of joint presentations, three afternoon working groups on the digital practices of each profession, and a final session to discuss the outcomes together.
The findings feed the ECHOES Consultation and shape a Cultural Heritage Cloud built around its real end users.
