šŸŽ“ A poem for new grads from your legendary friend Champ: You’ve finally done it – cue the confetti! You’ve got your diploma and cap at the ready You’re off to the races, the world’s at your feet You’ve got places to go and new friends to meet So climb all the mountains, swim lakes oh-so-blue Explore the whole world – it’s waiting for you! But wherever life takes you, wherever you go No matter how far away you may roam You’ll have a home here in the Green Mountain State And a mythical friend waving ā€œhiā€ from the Lake So in all life’s adventures, the old and the new, Remember that Champy believes in you šŸ¦•šŸ’› #graduation #commencement #classof2026

Last week, ECHO’s E-Team interns joined the UVM Watershed Alliance for a trip aboard the R/V Marcelle Melosira to learn about threats to Lake Champlain and how researchers study water quality in the Lake. On their trip, E-Teamers got hands-on experience measuring water transparency and using the vessel’s onboard microscopes to search for plankton in water samples. Before heading back to shore, Captain Taylor Resnick and Research Vessel Specialist Eddy Duva joined the team to talk about their careers and paths to working on a research vessel. Thank you to Watershed Alliance educators Sabrina, Carlos, Evan, Hallie, and Molly, Captain Taylor Resnick, Research Vessel Specialist Eddy Duva, and the whole @rvmarcellemelosira team for an incredible trip! Curious about E-Team? Applications for the 2026-27 year are now open. Visit the link in our bio to learn more!
