was looking forward to seeing this band since i saw the event poster and boy did they not disappoint. i love me some lesbian emo
it’s to be expected of a band with queer punk grit, but i found it comforting to hear queer sex and queer… existence, everything, described in all its technicalities and quirks and hiccups in the ways they were described in these lyrics. hrt is turning me into my mother. these ssri’s don’t leave much between the eyes but baby, you’re getting me off. toxic yuri in all its splendour. isn’t it bittersweet? the experience of transitioning and realizing that this really is all i am, i guess. felt super seen in a way i haven’t felt in a crowd in a while, was very very lovely.
also that girls cover by the dare was fucking insane WOW and it feels like i haven’t heard dance dance since my highschool prom, what a fucking killer context in which to hear it again
2 mai - generator show_01_2026 (post 3 of 4) - mango street trio
heard the guitar tone during setup and immediately was reminded of peach pit (which was fun because. y’know. fruit names) was not disappointed in the slightest, it was peach pit vibes and so much more???? that whole lotta love cover was fucking BOOONKERS, and i never knew i needed to hear a punk cover of la bamba yet here i am, and my life is so much better with it. wow. more shitpost songs on setlists please! AND MORE JAZZ DRUMMERS!!!!

how lovely to finally see the band we’ve been seeing on that poster at xeroz. made my night man. it warms my heart every time i see people my brother’s age get on stage (or on tarp???) and absolutely crush it. awesome stuff. moth cloak was also very cool, shoutout
incredible cover choice as well, territorial pissings is awesome

trying something new, have too many pics so i’m doing one post per band/amalgamation of bands
it feels right to start off with babyland/general generator show recap. like wow that was so cool thank you for organizing these (and the other organizers as well of course! shoutout tammi and anyone else who i am not aware of)
also, as someone who photographs this shit i feel the need to say it every time but SHOUTOUT TO WHOEVER WAS ON LIGHTS u made my night wonderful and awesome and i owe u an assist for all my cool pics yippee
i always love hearing babyland’s stuff as an opener, it’s always such a nice way to start the night, right after sunset, it’s not quite pitch black outside yet, listening to her songs in any other context just doesn’t feel the same! i think her last song was my favorite, or maybe export a blues
if any acts would like all of their pics, please hit me up! i will be posting my favs but if you’d like all of em i’d love to send them over :) i’d also love to know what kind of shots you’d like to have of you or your band so i can know next time i catch ya playing :3
