15 mai - generator show_popup_01_2026 daytime shows are cool. i think my favorite part was seeing curious people show up and take a peek. c’est also some really good lighting to play with shadows. i also love seeing people play with laptops. like, in my heart, that is a 2-person group. the laptop is a band member. this logic also applies to djs or anyone with a drum machine. drone, noise or experimental acts are either 2-person groups or like an ensemble depending on how many layers of bidule there is. seum was awesome, some occasional notes of stoner rock in there minus les vocals, que j’ai trouvé pretty intéressant. ca me surprend pas, in a way, en sachant que le stoner rock a tellement été influencé par des generator shows (et en ayant le contexte de leur shows à montréal dans le métro pis toutte) speaking of bidules as instruments: j’ai also tellement aimé le set a earth altar pis jsuis bummed que i forgot to ask if they had cds. i have a discography to dive into.

12 mai - a horse named friday, chalumeau man ça c’était tellement beau. wow. insane que this show had 2 members missing?? j’ai vraiment hâte d’écouter leur cd pour entendre les tounes avec le banjo pis le violon. though c’était incroyable even with just 4 members playing. i have difficulty finding words for a lot of this set because i was so focused on the music and not on finding words to describe it later. their music is not on streaming but i highly recommend checking out their bandcamp!! their album is 8$ and you get alllllll the files and they’re yours and u keep em FOREVER! fuck streaming i love seeing artists that reject streaming platforms big big love the palestinian folk song that they played in their set was so nice and so beautiful, i loved the drumming in it and just wow…. the last slide of this post is a qr code/link to a fundraiser for a friend of the band in gaza. please give if you can. :)

2 mai - generator show_01_2026 (post 4 of 4) - dazey was looking forward to seeing this band since i saw the event poster and boy did they not disappoint. i love me some lesbian emo it’s to be expected of a band with queer punk grit, but i found it comforting to hear queer sex and queer… existence, everything, described in all its technicalities and quirks and hiccups in the ways they were described in these lyrics. hrt is turning me into my mother. these ssri’s don’t leave much between the eyes but baby, you’re getting me off. toxic yuri in all its splendour. isn’t it bittersweet? the experience of transitioning and realizing that this really is all i am, i guess. felt super seen in a way i haven’t felt in a crowd in a while, was very very lovely. also that girls cover by the dare was fucking insane WOW and it feels like i haven’t heard dance dance since my highschool prom, what a fucking killer context in which to hear it again

10 avril - pt.2 - B.A. Johnston tellement triste que all his best songs aren’t on here. comme How Many T-Bone Steaks Can I Fit In My Pants. ou I Don’t Buy No Government Weed (Still Buying From Steve). ou I Rock The Hawkins. une expérience incroyable. je suis changé à jamais. once again reminding us that the best way to make political music is over a sick synth beat. i don’t think que j’ai ever vu du stage presence quite like this before mais also je comprends why. because jesus christ le cleanup after this must’ve been in-fucking-sane. felt like drag except i’ve never been to a show where the artist walked a potted plant around the bar and sprayed the crowd (and the ceiling) with beer. à ne pas manquer

10 avril - pt. 1 - tea 4 three doing this in 2 parts cause j’ai trop de insane pics. in other news. réunion incroyable entre mes oreilles et my beloved slow jam. merveilleux. super happy de voir plus de noise experimentation a des shows, ça me donne tellement hâte à reflux…. i <3 noise and drone and weird experimental stuff wowowow. shoutout vel pour le super cool guitar leaning on the amp thing that was SO cool prendre des photos d’artistes de shoegaze est also so funny sometimes cause y’avait un guy qui était pas mal clairement there for BA johnston qui me regardait prendre des photos des pedalboards pis c’est comme. bro i swear i’m not being weird i’m focusing on the feet for a reason it’s. it’s called shoegaze because. they gaze at their. shoes. and the pedals. are important. please believe me PLEAAAASE side note shoutout whoever was on lighting, le lighting allait craaazy c’était trop cool
