Her work captures the power and symmetry of waves, the colours of the horizon, and the ways coastal communities shape sanctuary in partnership with nature. And we’re lucky enough to be showing her work at Drops.
Born in Coogee, Liz’s connection to the water began early, and years later in Tanzania, she discovered photography while working near the landscapes of the Serengeti.
BaduMaji brings these two worlds together. ‘Badu’ is the Gadigal word for their waters, and ‘maji’ is the Kishwahili word for water. This is a project that celebrates a lifelong, evolving relationship with the ocean 🌊
