Part of a series created in Midjourney using custom profiles for Hysterical, Wondery’s investigative podcast examining the puzzling 2011 outbreak at Le Roy Junior-Senior High School in upstate New York. The case saw dozens of teenage girls simultaneously develop unexplained neurological symptoms—violent tics, uncontrollable outbursts, and seizure-like episodes—in what experts ultimately classified as mass psychogenic illness.
