And after a final lap, I’m officially stepping away from professional racing.You don’t hear that very often coming from a 24 year old, but after 20 years of racing, 13 seasons at the national level, 2 trips to Loretta Lynn, 3 years of racing professionally in the USA, 1 national number from racing 250 PRO men’s class, 8 Walton TransCan titles and 11 WMX National titles, I think I’ve done what I needed to do in this sport, and it’s time for me to hang my boots (professionally, that is).I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words how grateful I am for this sport, and everything it’s brought me. Thank you to everyone who was part of this amazing journey, especially @sybro41, @mo_giguere22 and mom!I’m definitely still going to ride and maybe do a few races every now and then, but just for fun. 2024 Walton TransCan Ladies Champion!The week at @waltonraceway was eventful, but so fun as always. I didn’t make it easy on myself with a rough first moto (P4), but I put my head down and worked hard to win the last two motos and finish out on top.//Yesterday was also the E/W shootout for the WMX class for the final round of the @triplecrownseries.I lined up for practice, did 2 great laps and then had a massive crash. I got back up on adrenaline, but after coming back to the trailer, we realized I had hit my head a bit more then we originally thought. It’s been a week now since the last WMX East Coast and I’m still resting and recuperating! It’s been a long and busy summer, full of emotions, highs and lows, and Deschambault was definitely just a continuation of that.I rode as hard as I could, I did my best and I can only be proud of that, no matter the end result. So for the past week, I’ve been happy and content with this #2, because I made it this far when I often thought it wouldn’t be possible, and because I gave it my best shot even when all the odds were against me.I’m keeping my head high and I’m ready to have some fun at @waltonraceway this week. It was a rough weekend for me at Riverglade for Round 3!I had good speed, but between bad starts and many tiny mistakes, I really struggled. To top it off, in moto 2, I dislocated my shoulder and it took almost a lap before we could get it back into place. I managed to finish in 9th after the incident, which now puts me 4 points behind first place in the championship, with only one round to go!I will be sitting out the ECAN to rest this shoulder as much as possible for Sunday. The battle is not over yet!
