Best Moment at Hermosa Fine Arts Festival . . .
was having Eric (my husband) in my booth, playing guitar, sun shining, while I was painting away. ☀️ I’ve been picturing a moment like this in my mind for a long time and it finally happened! Here’s why it was extra special . . .
Eric played classical guitar from age 4 to 20, performing to large audiences for concerts and competitions. Unfortunately, he burned out and stopped playing for 20 years. When we had our second kid, I lovingly nudged him, by getting him an acoustic guitar for father’s day. He started taking lessons from local guitar legend, Karl Grossman, and for the first time started playing Rock-n-Roll and songs he really likes. Karl puts together what he calls “senior arrangements” of songs that are like soloist versions. So good! I love hearing Eric practicing them at home.
In that past, Eric had to be a hyper perfectionist when performing his classical guitar pieces. He hasn’t played in front of anyone since that time.
Until now . . . cue heart explosion.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best day ever!
