📣 We are so excited to announce our theme for Spoken Word Power 2025-26…
“What We Share”
This theme encourages young people to explore common experiences, emotions, and values that connect them, across differences in background, culture, or identity.
‘What We Share’ empowers students to find their voice, listen to others, and recognise the strength in what connects us all.

Students will be provided with a safe space to creatively and healthily express their emotions and experiences, especially around the topics of uncertainty and change in relation to transition between KS2 and KS3.
All workshops are led by Eastside’s expert facilitators and build key personal and academic skills for all participating children, including emotional literacy, resilience, speaking & listening, confidence and collaboration.

📣 We're delighted to share that over the last week we've raised £12,337 through the Big Give: Arts for Impact campaign last week.
Every donation will go directly to Spoken Word Power, our flagship programme placing professional spoken word artists in Hackney primary schools and culminating in a West End showcase at the Criterion Theatre.
Thank you to everyone who supported us! ⭐️
Empowering the next generation, one poem at a time!
We recently joined the team at Eastside for their fantastic Spoken Word Power event. It was a great chance to catch up with CEO Matt Lane and discuss the impact of our grant and how we can all better support young people in London.
We’re proud to support Eastside’s work in Lambeth, providing a platform for young people to develop their creativity and confidence.

Throughout the day, we welcomed over 600 young people to the theatre to share their poetry on stage, including one school that came all the way from Rotherham in South Yorkshire!
A special thank you to all the artists, teachers and Eastside team who made this day happen.
