The Windmill Weekend Committee is proud to announce our 2025 Windmill Weekend Honoree, Joanna Stevens!
Each year, Windmill Weekend recognizes an outstanding community member whose dedication and service have made a lasting impact on Eastham. For 2025, we are proud to honor Joanna Stevens.
Joanna first moved to Eastham in 1975 and attended Nauset Schools. She spent four summers as Eastham Recreation Playground Director before returning to Eastham in 2002. Her service to the town has been extensive:
- Volunteer for the Eastham Forum for Fine Ideas (EFFI) for 2 years
- Member of the Eastham Elementary Parents Group (5 years)
- Volunteer in the Eastham Elementary Library (4 years) and Eastham Public Library (10 years)
- Two-term member of the Eastham Elementary School Committee
- Director of Early Childhood Inclusive Preschool at Eastham Elementary (7 years)
- Cape Cod National Seashore Advisory Committee (3 years, currently serving as an alternate)
- Over 10 years of service on the Eastham Windmill Weekend Committee, including 3 years as President
Through her decades of service, Joanna has championed education, recreation, and civic engagement, leaving a meaningful legacy that continues to inspire neighbors of all ages.
Please join us on September 5th before the start of the Talent Show (~7:15 pm) at the Orleans - Eastham Elks Lodge to recognize Joanna.
Come find us tomorrow (Friday 8/29) at the Eastham Farmer's Market at the old T-Time site. We'll be selling tickets for this year's raffle. ππ
