Join us at Echo and Action 📣 This event is rooted in everything we’ve been hearing during our ongoing Arts for Equity project. After taking the time to reflect on our interviews, exhibition and symposium, this event is about gathering, sharing space, hearing what the artists need, and moving those conversations into action with long-term change and commitment. We are pleased to introduce our keynote speaker Laurabel, founder of Laurabel Mba Consulting, a pioneering DEIB-AR (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Anti-Racism) consultancy, proudly Black-owned and Black-led, based in Newfoundland and Labrador. Laurabel will be leading a presentation from 2pm- 3pm at our event Echo and Action! 📍 ALT Hotel, St. John’s, NL 🗓️ May 23 🕐 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM #GCAntiRacism This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada. Ce projet a été rendu possible en partie grâce au gouvernement du Canada.

Welcome to "Voice of Iran". This exhibition is the result of a collaborative effort by members of the Iranian community in St. John's - an attempt to reflect fragments of the history, memory, pain, hope, and resistance of people who have endured decades of repression, censorship, violence and enforced silence. "Voice of Iran" is more than an art exhibition; it is an invitation to engage in dialogue between art, history and lived human experience. The exhibition is open to public now and ceremony tonight is 6pm- 8pm at 72 Harbour Drive. Trigger Warning: Violence & Trauma Please be advised that this exhibition, Voice of Iran, in the rOGUE Gallery displays artworks and media documenting violence, including the effects of airstrikes, psychological trauma, and government oppression. The content may trigger traumatic memories for survivors, refugees, or veterans. Please take care of your well-being.

We had the privilege of visiting Raeann Brown of @inuky_glass_art in her shop as part of our Arts for Equity project. This was an opportunity to spend time with an artist in her own space, to listen, learn, and better understand her journey as both a maker and entrepreneur. ✨ Raeann is an Inuit artist and published children’s book author from Nunatsiavut. As a self-taught artist, she has built her practice from the ground up, teaching herself every step of the way and turning her work into a thriving business. Her work has reached collectors around the world, and she continues to take pride in creating original pieces that reflect her vision and dedication. Her journey is a powerful reminder of what it means to carve your own path and build something with intention, resilience, and care. You can explore her work here: / 🎥 Video by Aditya Sikka, Project Coordinator This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada.
