Experiment_15 additionally contains a new exploration of graphic forms in the’ Projection Tee’, with assorted documentary photographs from the functionally defunct agency known as NASA from Earth’s 20th Century. Before its dismantling, NASA was devoted to the study and exploration of the space beyond Earth’s delicate bubble of protective gases and energies, and for a brief time seemed to unite a broad coalition of Americans in a sense of wonder and adventure before gradually fading in grandeur and capacity at the hands of increasingly myopic and incurious leadership. ‘Projection Tee’ available now

Experiment_15.1 has arrived, with our new Avian Observation Pattern developed to aid in wildlife observation through visual harmony with the environment. The pattern was carefully developed using photographic textures from mineral and botanical materials in the biome surrounding the current Earth\Studies landing site. Additions include Foundational Articles in new wash and dye treatments, and returning fabrications from our ongoing research. Find it at the link.

Avian species identification and behavior observation is a rich gateway to Human\Nature connection. At its surface, avian consciousness seems to differ substantially from that of Earth’s most self conscious apes. Perhaps that difference is the draw. Perhaps avian mating rituals, social lives, and migratory tendencies are not so different from humans’ at their core. The Avian Observation Pattern in Experiment_15 aims to facilitate close observation of birds and other wildlife. In combination with physical and mental stillness, AOP can obscure the human form in certain habitats, allowing greater proximity and duration of study. Spring Foundation Articles in denim and duck canvas have arrived in preparation for Experiment_15. Installed in parts, Experiment_15 contains new fabrications of familiar Articles, as well as wholly new concepts in design and materials. ‘Foundation’ is an assortment of Articles which we attempt to keep consistently in stock and available, transcending seasonality and temporality - Anchoring our Experiments. Tomorrow, 3/27 we conclude the installation of TeaRoom_01 at @onegrandgallery with a live ambient sound installation, using the structure itself as an instrument. Earth\Studies researchers will create live music on 1/4” tape as it travels through TeaRoom_01 on a loop. Event opens at 6PM with wine from @rubatowines . Live music from 7:30-9. The event is free and open to the public.

“Parallel processing” describes an audio recording technique in which duplicate signals are recombined after effects or other modulations are applied. This is the spirit of our collaboration with @18eastofficial where our shared paths interweave. The MS-120 ‘Shift Jacket’ is augmented with performance materials from 18 East’s perspective, becoming a water resistant shell jacket with the ease of movement to support active pursuits in rain and snow. The MS-110 ‘ESCEP Jacket’ is rendered in a wool boucle, with the clever addition of organic cotton fleece at the collar lining for increased comfort. East_Studies 3.0 is available now in limited quantities.

Bathing in the traditional steam bath, onsen, or mountain lake has been a key to wellness and communal experience around the world for centuries. To that end, @earth_studies_ Mind / body wellness division has developed a small assortment to support the art of bathing. In celebration, @guss.sauna will appear at @duality.brewing offering free sauna sessions on a limited rsvp basis. Duality has also canned a collaborative special low ABV offering infused with supportive botanicals for the sauna experience. Visitors will also discover a unique, hidden cold water experience on site. The northern hemisphere has begun its tipping sunward. The full tumble toward spring is yet to be seen. May still be months away. Who can know anymore? All we have is to meet each day as it comes. In that respect, it is as it has always been.
