🌟 The History of EAPA 🌟
From humble beginnings to the representation of over 25,000 athletes across Europe, EAPA has been moving to the fore of athlete advocacy since 2008.
Here are the key milestones that have shaped our journey 🧭
#BeyondAthletes
Our Building Blocks 👷🏻♀️
To create a visual system for our new brand, we extracted some of the core concepts of the European Athletes & Players Association.
To demonstrate our unity and strength we then compressed these elements into a shield 🛡️
Looking forward to continuing to build out our new look with our members 🤝
#BeyondAthletes
A New Identity ⚡️
We may look a little different but our mission remains the same.
We look forward to empowering, supporting and advocating for our players and athletes as the European Athletes & Players Association 🤝
Join us as we embark on a new chapter!

Today 9 May all Europeans will celebrate Europe Day - a continent-wide movement that celebrates European unity, co-operation and values. This week is also the European Mental Health Week and we’re being encouraged to prioritise mental health in a changing Europe. 🤝🇪🇺
Tackle Your Feelings Europe (TYFE) project strengthens mental health support for professional and elite athletes across Europe. The EU-funded project brings together nine player and athlete associations representing more than 11,000 professional and elite athletes from several different sports. The project is coordinated by European Athletes & Players Association.
Suomen Urheilijat ry, together with its member organizations, is involved in the project, which aims to improve athletes’ everyday well-being, lower the threshold for seeking help, and build long-term research data on athlete well-being and coping.
At the core of the project is a European survey study designed to gather information on the pressures experienced by athletes and the challenges they face in daily life. TYFE is helping to build a clearer understanding of athlete wellbeing across different environments, experiences, cultures and borders.
The more we understand, and the more we get survey results, the better we can support. 🤍

This European Mental Health Week, we’re being encouraged to prioritise mental health in a changing Europe.
In recent months, that’s exactly what we’ve been working towards.
With insights from experts like Dr Emma Burrows, TYFE is helping to build a clearer understanding of athlete wellbeing across different environments, experiences, cultures and borders.
The more we understand, the better we can support.
TYFE is co-funded by the European Union 🇪🇺

Player health must always come first.
We’re supporting @ajfs_femenino and the eight team captains who have raised serious concerns about match scheduling in the Copa de la Reina, where players may be required to compete multiple times within extremely short recovery windows.
Adequate rest is not a luxury. It is essential for player safety, performance, and long-term wellbeing.
Scheduling decisions must not be made without player input. The risks are clear, and responsibility must be shared.
We support the call for dialogue, respect, and a model of sport that protects those at its centre.

Code of Conduct for Athletes 🤝🌍
As part of our work with players’ associations and partners across Europe, we have developed clear guidelines to help prevent match-fixing and strengthen integrity in sport.
These materials were created through the #PROtectIntegrity Online project, building on more than a decade of work on match-fixing and sports betting integrity, and reflective of the evolving risks facing athletes today.
The work continues today through PROtect Integrity Responsibly, promoting integrity and values in sport by educating athletes on responsible gambling practices alongside @epic_global_solutions
#PROtectIntegrity is co-funded by the European Union 🇪🇺

🙏 We’re proud to stand with player associations from across Europe as part of the PROtect Integrity Responsibly project, promoting education and action against competition manipulation.
Today, and every day, we protect the values that make sport great. 🌍✨
Protect Integrity Responsibly is co-funded by the European Union.
