One thing I’m learning homeschooling three children is how important it is to encourage them in teaching each other.
This is my 5 and 8 year olds work from this morning. They were asked to go for a walk and then do a painting of the weather. Only problem was Miss 5 steadfastly refused to do anything after the walk except play LEGO. This has been a regular battle for us lately often resulting in me threatening to do something like throw all the LEGO out 🙄.
Today I asked her big sister to help. The two of them were immersed in this for over half an hour and the end result was a painting each, with the day and date written on the 5 year olds, by the 5 year old! We have been going through the alphabet with her but if you asked me before this I would have said that she can’t write yet 🤔
Adventures at deep creek. The girls might have needed a piggy back after 3 hours but we all made it back alive. Apparently a 5 year old can’t walk for that long and after your dad makes you walk through a dam in your dry shoes they feel like they have frogs eggs in them 😂. Expect @kiki.and.the.girls will say I told you so or something.....
Finally figured out I could use bad or bed to remember which way b’s and d’s go around when I’m doing my spelling🙄 Now I need a trick to tell left from right. Any ideas @kiki.and.the.girls And yes, this is for me, I am bad with directions 🤷♂️
@kiki.and.the.girls might think they’re gross but has kept these two entertained for well over a week now! The question now is are they going to eat that mushroom pizza they keep talking about making..... Thanks @themushroomguys
