14 hours straight on Saturday to finally finish turning my basement into an English pub.
This started as a perfectly fine finished basement. Then I painted the ceiling black, everything green, drove all over Michigan for random stuff, built tables, fought wainscoting for way too long, and questioned every life choice along the way.

Growing up on dirt bikes, I was always on 125s and 250cc RM Suzukis… that was just the world I knew. Never once did I think we’d end up here, with electric dirt bikes being a real thing, let alone electric trucks… and now I’m driving a Lightning.
This isn’t a paid ad. I’m not getting paid to say any of this. LEONX sent me this bike as a sample and I told them straight up I’d give an honest take.
First impression… it’s basically like an 85cc two-stroke in terms of size and what it can do, just fully electric. And honestly, that’s pretty wild. No rebuilds, no messing with carbs, just hop on and ride.
Right now, I’d say it definitely has a place in the garage. It fills a lane.

Even as an avid DIY guy who’s built a following doing things myself, I still sometimes hire contractors when I need help getting a project over the finish line. I didn’t go with the absolute cheapest option, but I definitely went on the cheaper side thinking, “If they can get this done for that price, I’ll save a ton of time and money.”
