OPENING RECEPTION Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 5:30-7:30 PM FLOW & ROOT: Water, Memory, Place A Solo Exhibition O'Hanlon Center for the Arts (@ohanloncenter ) ~~~~ FLOW & ROOT reflects my ongoing exploration of freshwater systems as living beings with a collection of dimensional works on paper, prints, and sculpture. This collection is inspired by the Smith, California’s last wild river, and her unique presence. It will be a lively evening, with the Mill Valley Art Walk and Marin Open Studios in full swing. In O’Hanlon’s main gallery, across from my show, is an amazing group showing by artists Alejandra Chávez, Carlos Herrera, Guillermo Kelly, Isidoro Angeles, Maria Garcia, Laura Jiménez Diecks, and Sol Navarrete. Don’t miss it! #flow&root #printmaking #kirigami #freshwater #ohanloncenterforthearts #elizabethaddisonart #smithrivercalifornia #sculpture #worksonpaper

🖼️ Reception today! 🥂 Saturday, March 7, 2-4 PM FEM-minis: AN NCWCA JURIED SHOW SFWA Artists Gallery, Artist Salon Exhibition Dates: March 3 – April 2, 2026 Online Artist Talk: Thursday, March 12, 7–8 PM "Already," my petite, but cosmic, dimensional print is one of 59 works featured. Here’s a detail showing where I cut into the print and lift shapes to reveal glimpses of golden iridescence. FEM-minis, a Northern California Women's Caucus for Art (NCWCA) juried member exhibition, encompasses themes related to women or female-presenting persons: the female figure, femininity, feminism, children, dismantling patriarchy, the lived experience of female-identifying persons, suffrage, reproductive rights, and the struggle against or within the bonds of gender roles. It is also about claiming the space to simply be who you are. It’s inspiring to see what artists created and how they worked within the 6 x 6-inch size limitation. Image: Already (detail), digital imagery, monotype, stencil, and gold foil with kirigami elements, mounted on round cradled board, 6 x 6 x 1.5 inches. @ncwca @sfwa_artistsgallery #elizabethaddisonart #NCWCA #sanfranciscowomenartistsgallery #bayareaartist #feministart #SmallArtBigImpact #printmaking #mixedmediaart #womenartists

ROOTS ARTIST PROFILE: Lucy Ames (USA) “Just as I set out on a hike with a sense of adventure, delighting the surprises that Nature has in store for me, so too do I approach my art with a similar curiosity. A key component of my art is the use of monoprints created using a gel plate. These are created with actual plants or with stencils I make based on the plants and trees I see on my walks. Using multiple layers of these prints and additional paint, my work celebrates both the wonder of art making and the beauty of nature.” ~Lucy Ames (@lucy.ames.art ) ROOTS co-founders, Marguerite Elliot (@marguerite101 ) and Elizabeth Addison (@eaddison329 ), invite you to discover more inspiring artwork and artists on our website: rootsinternationalartproject.com
