This piece was never originally meant to be displayed … it was only intended for one person. This was a requested piece by @_mario602_ he inquired about a painting years ago but I never got around to it. Finally this year I wanted to make sure to get it done for him, since he has been supporting and been watching my growth… it meant a little more being able to do it now instead of then.
Anyway, he wanted something Aztec related something to symbolize himself. He said “surprise me … my family says I’m like Aztec whatever ups and downs I go through or whatever life throws at me I continue to stand and fight Even when it’s not easy I stand like Aztec they say if that helps”
He is a kids basketball coach with cerebral palsy, making a difference in so many kids lives and in his community. I feel honored to have been able to paint this for him and I feel like this painting suited him very well …. along with so many others who are warriors and stand tall and fight despite their challenges.
I had a lot of people admire this one and he allowed me to make prints. Still haven’t gotten them done but as soon as I do I will post it on here!
