Comment “Mother” to get the donation link. ⁣ ⁣ With your support, we let women from 23 countries know that they are not alone this Mother’s Day. We filled their ICE detention commissary accounts so they could buy food, water, toiletries, and phone calls to loved ones. ⁣ ⁣ Here are a few of their stories. ⁣ ⁣ Until we can shut down Dilley, we will continue filling the detention commissary accounts. It’s something small we can do to make a large impact. ⁣Join us.

𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 $𝟯𝟬, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. It’s a small way to have a huge impact. The tap water in Dilley is making them sick.⁣ ⁣ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲. 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲. ⁣ eachstephome.org/commissary or the 🔗 in our bio⁣ ⁣ Read the recent declarations from detained parents in Dilley Immigration Processing Center in the March 13th plaintiff’s response in Flores v. Bondi Case No. CV 85-4544-DMG-AGRx. ⁣ ⁣ Parents declare that the water makes them and their children sick and they are dependent on the commissary that sells water for $30 a pack.⁣ ⁣ We were founded on the idea that we just had to do something to help the children being harmed by ICE. Right now one of those things is funding the commissary accounts of families in Dilley so they can buy things as basic as clean water. We’re grateful to all our donors who have made it possible.⁣ ⁣ 🎨 by @marcnelsonart_iwitness

You can buy a child in ICE detention some water than won’t make them sick, soap that won’t give them rashes, 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿.⁣ ⁣ Make a contribution at the link in our bio and we will deposit it into a parent’s commissary account at Dilley. ⁣ ⁣ eachstephome.org/commissary⁣ ⁣ 🎨 by @marcnelsonart_iwitness

Our Co-Founder Casey Revkin was on @itsthemomentlive podcast with @meredithmlynch and @rebzsays this week talking about the work we’re doing at @eachstephome filling moms’ detention commissary accounts! We partnered with them over Mother’s Day weekend and raised over $115k! It’s been incredible to see all the people out there letting the women in detention know they are not alone. Find it on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts. It’s the DeuixMoi episode.

CoreCivic is the private, for-profit company that operates the Dilley internment camp, where ICE pays them to cage kids. ㅤ If this quote from their CEO, Patrick Swindle, on May 7th sounds familiar, it's because it is. ㅤ Months ago he made this exact same claim. Nearly word for word. ㅤ He can't even come up with some fresh wording for his blatant lies. Months have passed but their script full of falsehoods remains the same. ㅤ At Dilley, children are denied emergency medical care even when on the 'brink of death.' The food is infested with worms and mold. ㅤ Lights are on 24/7, and you have to wait outside in the cold and wind for hours to receive a single pill. ㅤ The center restricted children's access to video calls from the outside world after public backlash about the conditions reported inside. ㅤ Children burning up, struggling to breathe, waking up screaming, bedwetting, facing anxiety and depression they'd never had before. Guards yelling at children, snatching toys. ㅤ RSV, the measles, and Covid-19 spread unchecked inside Dilley. ㅤ Juan Nicolás, a two-month-old infant detained at Dilley who had choked on his own vomit and became unresponsive due to bronchitis and RSV, was denied medical care. ICE later cruelly dropped him and his family off on the other side of the U.S.-Mexico border-- while he was still gravely ill. ㅤ A five-year-old went almost two weeks without a bowel movement. CoreCivic staff did nothing. ㅤ Another girl, just one-year-old, nearly died from untreated pneumonia, Covid-19, RSV and respiratory distress that had worsened over the course of several weeks. She needed to spend 10 days in a hospital, where she was only taken after being on 'the brink of death.' ㅤ A family of Russian asylum seekers who were held captive at Dilley for four months said, 'Even in Russia, they don't treat children like this.' ㅤ 'We left one tyranny and came to another kind of tyranny.' ㅤ This is what CoreCivic considers to be the 'most humane.'

Comment DILLEY for the link to donate to fund phone calls for mothers in detention separated from their children. ⁣ ⁣ We don’t know what’s worse, watching your children suffer in detention with you or the heartbreak of being separated and unavailable to care for them. ⁣ ⁣ We knew we had to do something. We can fund their commissary accounts to they can buy phone calls to their children. ⁣ ⁣ Join us in showing them they are not alone. ⁣ ⁣ 🎨 by @marcnelsonart_iwitness

A mother of two U.S. citizen children, who is also married to a U.S. citizen and was in the process of obtaining her green card, was lured outside her home and detained by ICE agents. She is now suffering from mastitis. Yet again, the crushing reporting by @lidiaterrazasnews makes one thing painfully clear: this administration is anything but pro-mom. Head to the link in my bio or comment “MOM” for the direct link to our Chilli collaboration. You can visit the site, find our page (Cada Pequeño Cuenta) and choose from dozens of actions that take less than 30 seconds. Just do something.

Bibi's home. After 32 days, Bibi is finally back where she belongs, with our family. There are no words big enough to capture what this journey has meant, or to fully express the gratitude we feel toward every single person who stood with us. So many of you showed up, doctors, organizations, advocates, journalists, politicians, legal teams, colleagues, strangers who became family. You made noise when we couldn't. You carried us when we were exhausted. You never let her story be forgotten. To every medical professional, every organization, every news outlet, every program, every attorney, every community member who signed, shared, called, wrote, or simply prayed, thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Special love to Mike and all the colleagues who advocated not just for Bibi, but for every physician in detention, and for every person being held without a fair process. That fight matters beyond our family, and we will never forget it. Bibi is healing right now. She is home, she is safe, and she is surrounded by love. Out of respect for her hospital's guidelines, she will not be giving interviews just yet, but when the time is right, she will speak. And she will have so much to say. To anyone still waiting for their person to come home, we see you. We have not forgotten you. This fight is not over. With all the love we have, Milenko & Bibi #bibiishome #nobodyisillegal #immigrationjustice #freethedoctors #dueprocess

Ana is not only a mother to two United States Citizen children, she’s also married to a US Citizen and had started her green card process. She was lured outside of her home, where several ICE agents detained her. @nmasunivision #ICE #DHS #TRUMP #UNIVISION #TEXAS

We need to wake up before it’s too late. This government has decided it can lock people up indefinitely without reason and without regard for their rights and wellbeing. That is a very slippery slope. #endice #abolishice #noice
