I used to live with Nicholas Mandalos (Mandlehorse). During those heady and happy days, there was alot of experimental guitar playing, some of it iconic, some of it borderline torture. But the Hellenic Hunk has come a long way and released a beautiful, rich and historic album “Oh Misery! How I Fear for you”
To mark this release, I took some shots of him in his Greek homeland during a magical pilgrimage back to where it all began. Here he is pictured outside the Hermitage of Panagia Eleousa, off the shores of Lake Prespa. A mesmeric 15th century refuge hidden within a cave deep in the hillside.
