02.05.2026 💍❤️
One fall morning in 2021, I met the man I’d spend the rest of my life with in an unlikely way: There I was at a car event in rural VT, snapping photos with my mom, when a handsome man in a 1974 Porsche 911 rolled up next to me and said “are you coming?” I thought, “cute guy, fun car… hell yeah, let’s go for a quick spin around the block.” Turns out it was an 8hr rally around the entire state. It was an easy yes then and an even easier yes now.
Sam, from the day I met you, you have made my world feel safer and bigger at the same time. You are the person I am dying to spend more time with every single day. Here’s to continuing to build the most amazing lives together 🥂
Over the moon to announce that we’re engaged! 2/5/26 - A road trip with my favorite navigator up to Quebec City, followed by a romantic evening walking around the old city. The perfect backdrop to pop the question. What a world, what a life, I’m in love ❤️
Reminiscing about a fun DIY Sam and I did this summer to surprise my dad on his birthday: A repurposed chair lift! Using skills my dad had originally taught me with a Sam-influenced-flare felt like a full circle moment & a great homage to the badass guy who raised me. ❤️❤️ @dieselbus330
(Finally getting around to editing this reel because I’m on day 4 of the flu, spinning my wheels 🤒)
4 years ago I met my best friend! Here’s to living life to the absolute fullest everyday since 🥂

We LOVE this view of the Get Down and Coal Collective. Thanks @e_webz for putting it together!
Only two more Get Downs left of the year. See you there!?
Have you ever noticed that small rock off of Juniper Island that looks like a diving orca whale in the distance?
It’s more than just a landmark! It’s Odzihozo, the legendary Abenaki creator.
🌊 Indigenous Name: Odzihozo, “He Who Created Himself”
🪨 Legend Says: He shaped the mountains and Lake Champlain, then transformed into the rock we now call Rock Dunder
🛶 Sacred Spot: Abenaki travelers left offerings here like tobacco leaves to honor his spirit and ensure safe passage
📜 "Rock Dunder" may have come from a British naval officer during the War of 1812 shouting, “It’s a rock, by Dunder!” after firing at it in the fog
⛵ How to Get There: It’s a bit of a trek by paddle, but totally sail-able from the Community Sailing Center! Check out our illustrated map of where it is located.
Next time you're out on the lake, look for Odzihozo and remember the stories that shaped this place long before we arrived.

When she’s not on the water, she’s painting it! ⛵️Emily is giving our cornhole boards a glow-up with a dreamy sunset sailing scene 🌅 Who’s got next game?
