1 year barred today 🥹🥹🥹 Officially been a licensed attorney for 1 year. Wow. Living in SOOOOO many answered prayers. Time flies. I don’t take the proper time to really sit and appreciate where I’ve been and where I’m going but I am so excited for the future and so thankful for everyone who has supported, uplifted, or encouraged me. 😭🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾October was already the best month 🫣but my license anniversary date makes each October for the rest of my life a little sweeter. It’s been a crazy ride so far tooooooo be honest but God’s had me the whole time and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 10.08 you’re in my heart five-ever and thank you to everyone who’s gotten me here, yall have my heart. Black Rain
Here I am standing in a pool of blessings as blessings continue to rain down on me and everyone in my life. I am loved by God and so many people in my life that it humbles me every year. I LOVEEEEE my life and I can’t wait for another year of joy, laughter, LAWYERING, and honestly whatever I decide to do usually last minute haha
What a year and honestly what a month!! 😭 On October 7th I found out I passed the bar and on October 24th I was sworn in by my favorite professor. 25 held some of the most important memories of my life and I can’t wait to see what 26 holds. I was able to bring in my birthday with my family after a beautiful weekend of celebrating love! And now to another year of prosperity.

The morning of the exam, I was listening to this album and was shaking so hard I could barely give my ID to the parking attendant at NRG. She said good morning to me and the only thing I could do was whimper back because if I opened my mouth I would have burst into tears. When I left the exam I heard a voice say “you passed.” But in my own self doubt I struggled to believe it. He told me from the moment I left NRG that I had done enough and all I had to do was believe. Yet still I thought about the times I could have studied harder and whether I had in fact done enough. I had God my Lord Jesus Christ with me the ENTIRE time, the support of my family, amazing friends, wonderful boyfriend, and classmates. 3 years full of dedication, determination, and detriment to my personal free time here we are 😭 FINISHED WITH HONORS 😭😭😭 GOD DID!!!!! Law school has taught me so much and THURGOOD has taught me so much but I wouldn’t trade my knowledge and experience for the world.
