From 10 January to 2 February 2025, Utrecht’s station area will be illuminated by light artworks that not only inspire wonder but also touch and connect people. I Light U brings the city to life under the theme ALIVE. This exhibition showcases the work of national and international light artists throughout the station area. There is no fixed route or entry fee, so let yourself be guided along the glowing artworks.

Jewel Beetles 🪲
Wearable beetle charms and broches
Inspired by the Reedfield Beetle (Plateumaris sericea)
The little body of a Reedfield beetle (6.1 to 10 mm) are full of beauty in color and details. Their armor displays a striking variability in color, from metallic bronze, gold, red, or green to deep blue or violet. The surface of there body's is densely covered with pits.
The jewel beetle is a unique piece of jewelry made with love and care.
