Cellist Abigail Monroe has been praised for her “rich resonance” and “emotional depth” (For All Events) and has established herself as a sought-after solo performer, chamber musician, and large ensemble collaborator throughout the United States and internationally.
Abigail is currently the Assistant Principal Cellist of the Missouri Symphony, and is a member of the Cello Sections of the West Michigan Symphony and Orchestra Iowa. She performs regularly with many orchestras nationwide, including the Atlanta Opera Orchestra, The Orchestra San Antonio, Mobile Symphony, Des Moines Symphony, Illinois Philharmonic, Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, and Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, among many others. She has appeared as Principal Cellist with the Rapides Symphony, Peoria Symphony, and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, where she was a Regular Member for three seasons.

"El Tiempo Latine" (Aerocade Music) features music by composers from Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, and the U.S. in a double album that explores the wide range of classical music being written by contemporary Latine voices, ranging from the jazz-infused strains of Gabriela Lena Frank's “Midnight Serenades" and inti figgis-vizueta's modernist "the motion between three world," to salsa-inspired selections by Gabriela Ortiz ("Su-muy-key") and Tania León ("Tumbao") and José Bragato's Piazzolan flair in "Milontan."
