Good afternoon, Campers! As April continues, let’s highlight a memorable moment from March. E3 Camp took local Black teens on a field trip to learn about Alamance Community College’s BioTechnology Program. They heard from students and faculty in the program and were able to view the high-quality equipment the school provides its students.
The students got hands-on experience with the quality processes in the pharmaceutical industry. Students can earn a certificate that positions them for immediate jobs in the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries that partner with the school. Students can also earn 2-year degrees in Biotechnology, Agricultural Technology and BioPharma Quality.
All of the coursework will be accepted towards a 4-year degree by public NC Colleges. For high school students, all courses are free. For graduates, fees are low and financial aid is available. Good evening! Parents of Black Middle Schoolers, plan to enroll your children for a science adventure this summer. E3 Camp provides Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math experiences along with field trips and education on African American history.
Camp takes place from July 6-24, and is free for all participants. Enrollment forms are now posted on the E3 website. Enrollment opens on March 27th. Save the date!

If you’re interested in attending, mark your calendars. Do you want to encourage Black children (aged 10-17) to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics? Bring them to the free 2025 Black STEAM Fair. Each child will be able to meet individuals, organizations and businesses who share their love of STEAM. They will learn about career paths and gain hands-on experience in careers in science, engineering, and technology. No registration is required.
