New Mix Up A few weeks ago I did something a little bit different and played an hour long 200 bpm set at @stimulation_arts neuroqueer art exhibition/rave at The Post Bar in Tottenham. I had a lot of fun playing and met a lot of really great people there, and thought I'd share the recording I took of my set with all of you lot. Off for a long weekend of running around the country pressing buttons in various places. First I'm playing a set tonight for @fullspectrumbristol at @tothemoonbristol in (unsurprisingly) Bristol, playing some melodic minimal and liquid at their open decks session. I'll probably then sleep for a bit. Then on Sunday I'll be making my way up to Birmingham to play for @industrialdrumzdnb in @studios.pirate Brum as part of @a51m1999 's birthday celebrations, playing my first 100% industrial hardcore and techno set. Well, this has been a straight up fantastic year. Over the course of the year, I've played 16 shows across 6 different towns and cities, including my debut gigs in both Birmingham and Bristol. One of the things that has really made this year for me has been community, and being able to feel a sense of belonging within the scene. Discovering and playing for both @fullspectrumbristol and @industrialdrumzdnb have been probably the biggest examples of this, alongside becoming a resident for both Industrial Drumz and @murmuration_records and reconnecting with the local scene in Oxford via @bitterpill_ox and @theoperationuk . On top of this, I was able to reconnect again with my welsh roots, playing out for @aberunderground and @resonateevents earlier in the year. In terms of releasing music, I've put out 2 EPs this year, as well as dropping 2 tunes on remix/VA releases, and self releasing 4 free DLs (one of which has smashed through over 10k plays in the last 12 months). To top this all off, I've done guest mixes for @1.more.thing.uk , Full Spectrum and, lastly, Murmuration Records, showcasing the full range of music I've been working on and playing out over the year. Artist Spotlight - Dysfunction Next up on our spotlight series, we have our resident @dysfunction.dnb , who will be doing something a little different at @theangelinnaber on the 29th and bringing down a mix of 160bpm industrial hardcore, hardstyle and acid techno. Hot on the heels of a flurry of shows across the past few months, covering London, Leicester, Birmingham, and Aberystwyth, and their recent releases on 1MoreThing and Murmuration Records garnering support from legends of the scene such as Rob Swire, John B, and Evol Intent (to name a few) and plays on Vision Radio and the Amen4Tekno SWU show, Dysfunction has come a long way since their debut show at the Angel 8 years ago.
