KICKIN' IT POOLSIDE WITH MY GIRL ARAN AND CONTEMPLATING SOME SHORT TERM AQUATIC ATHLETIC DECISIONS.... 🤜🏊‍♂️🤽‍♀️👊🦋🌊🏝🧜‍♀️🍻💙🤙🏋🏄‍♀️💥👊💦👏🌴🤛 I've been really digging the continual daily swimming down here. Several laps in the pool a day, jumping in the ocean and soaking in the warm tropical salt water, making conversation with beautiful women on the beach and all the great aquatic activities one can find here in Miami Beach. I just signed up for for the upcoming Alcatraz Open Swim 2026 just before meeting a resident here in the pool who has been training for some long distance ocean and river swims. He recommended Miami Beach's 'Dolphins And Rainbows' crew that meets early mornings on the beach for one and two mile swims. Naturally I asked about the sharks common here in these waters (after coming across one, close up and personal) and he gave me the full lowdown. I think on my next trip here I'm gonna pay that crew a visit and get some nice long distance swimming in (after doing some lengthy shark research of course)... Naturally I called my brother @will_be_young later that day while gettin' my drink on at ye ol' @macsclubdeuce excited about my upcoming Alcatraz swim and the potential of joining a swim crew here in Miami Beach. Being the athlete he is, open water swimming is not his forte; and he went on to warn me of all the dangers that this athletic activity entails. Naturally I listened, but thought to myself: "Some sports are more dangerous then others" and "this dudes gotta lot of nerve telling me how dangerous my choice of 'sport' is considering his lengthy history of 'dangerous sports' "... Surfing (in the ocean) and boxing being two of those specific sports.... I must say he does look good doing it though!!!! Good talk Billy ❤️ BTW, for my next trip here I'm getting a pair of high performance rollerblades to strut myself off on the strip with my shirt off (naturallly) and build up my leg muscles. If I pulled a stunt like this in SF I would get my ass kicked from skateboarders, many of whom I know. But out here I'm Miami Beach a man can be a man and rollerblade without judgement and look great while doing it! #PARADISE

KICKIN' IT POOLSIDE WITH MY GIRL BEATRICE... 💙🦋🏝🌸💦🌊🍻🤙😃🎨🏊‍♂️🧃💥❤️✌️🌈🥵🏝🦋💙 After a another delightful night at @macsclubdeuce , I'm here reflecting upon my trip thus far and realizing that some of the experiences I had during my first few nights here now seem like distant memories as I browse through my library of new photos. Two weeks is a great stretch of time to spend in a single new place, a detachment begins to form from your everyday normal life and memory starts to stretch out further. Two weeks in your hometown, home city and daily life routines can pass in the blink of an eye; but Two weeks in a foriegn place can often seem like a month or two... or simply timeless. Time can really slow down as new experiences, and memories begin to shape. The other night I made an instant friend at @macsclubdeuce (no suprise there) from Lithuania. Dominykas asked me for a light. Two and a half hours later we has discussed everything from our two counties, current events, politics, where to travel in Florida, sharks, the economy, movies, adapting to new cultures and more. I feel like every night at ye ol' Deuce is like that. It's an internationa divel bar in an international city with people coming and going from all over. The same can be said for the beach here. Sunbathe and swim long enough, you'll meet people from all over the globe if your open to it. I'm definitely pro Miami Beach, but I know like anywhere else it certainly has it's ups and downs, not dissimilar from a place like San Francisco. Being an outsider and dipping my feet in over here definitely does give me the unique perspective of seeing it from the luxury of an objective standpoint. However, as time goes on, and more visits during more seasons occur, I hope to adapt more to this city and maybe even see it as a second home one day. I can't think of a US city more opposite and equally culturally enriching as SF that offers everything I like and crave in an international city but from a completely opposite perspective and lifestyle then the city I call home. More adventures and drawings coming soon... Oh! And Thank You Beatrice for being my first nude(ish) model!!!!!💙🦋💙🦋💙🦋💙🦋💙🦋

KICKIN' IT POOLSIDE WITH MY GIRL SPARROW AND BEING A TWAT!!!! 💙🏊‍♂️🌊💯🎨🌈❤️🤙🎆🍾💞💦🧃🌸🔥🍹💙 It's Sunday fun day here in Miami Beach and I had keep it RÈAL with my TWAT'S on the West Side Yo.... So I woke up at 7:20am, hopped in the pool to get my laps in before finishing up Sparrow. Then got in some more laps before finishing up a couple other pieces poolside. I just signed up for the 'Alcatraz Open Swim 2026', so I have ALOT of training to do between now and September. I'm definitely feeling the work out and I'm loving it! After a couple swims & draws, I ventured to the indoor art studio to draw some more while watching a Hulk Hogan documentary...and naturally felt Inspired by Hulk Mania... The moment I packed my gear for an ocean swim, the rain started pouring! Rain or shine, a TWAT will hit the beach. These tropical storms are short lived, so I just followed the rainbow all the way to the beach before jumping in... Low and behold, a dude on the beach started signaling me with hand motions...move right, move left, stop, move right, stop, etc. There was a f**king shark right next to me! I safely got to shore and figured this was a sign to get drunk at the Ye Ol' Mac's Cub Deuce... Later on I learned there a four primary species of sharks in these waters: Hammerhead, Black Tip, Nurse and Bull. The first three are pretty timid and generally avoid humans unless provoked. Bull Sharks though are very aggressive and territorial and will attach humans if they feel their territory is threatened... This got me thinking. I'm an SF TWAT in Miami waters. I barely fit with the people of this area and stand out here like a sore thumb. If the people here can sense an outsider, a Bull Shark is gonna sense an outsider in their territory a mile away.... So, if I get a skin altering tan, style my hair, get buff and start rollerblading with my shirt off; that Bull's gonna think I'm a local and not feel provoked by me in any way! I'm told sharks don't like human meat, but most humans have red blood pumping through their body. Whereas as male TWATS like me, have beer and whisky pumping through their veins (female TWATS: cheap white wine and whisky). So...🤞🤞

KICKIN' IT POOLSIDE ENJOYING THE VIEW AND TALKING TO GOD.... 🌞🏊‍♂️🌊💙😇🍹🏝🥵🌈🎨💯👠🍺🌞 I almost lost a sailer here in Miami Beach, and it wasn't the first time... My last trip here in February, the wind took five of my drawings including my sweet @pangeaseed Jacques-Yves Cousteau piece for 'Rising Tides'. Fortunately in a panic I retrieved them all before they reached the Biscayne Bay!!!!! Clearly I didn't fully learn my lesson the first time when the wind picked up hard while trying to get a pic of this piece after several hours of filling in that ass (no pun intended). I thought to myself: "just get a pic real quick then put the drawing away". Then the moment the camera captured the drawing it flew off the table! First hitting the small palm tree garden edge, then the glass wall seperating the pool area from the Bay, then over the wall entirely!!!! So many thoughts ran through my mind in that split second as I ran to the wall, looked over the edge and saw the drawing fully intact resting on the edge of the lower pier walkway below the wall as the wind still blew. A walkway that I had no access too at all!!!! Then...!!! Just a few feet where my drawing lay on the pier's edge, I saw a man was walking his dog. I immediately yelled out to him to grab the drawing as quickly as possible to save it from the wind. I actually asked him twice and demanded he hurry before the wind and water got it! He did just that and in a split moment's time he saved the day...my day!!!! I thought to my self 'divine intervention' and 'divine warning'..... And here's how my conversation with God went.... Me: God, thank you so much for swooping in and saving my work, I think I would have had a panic attack and serious f**ked my day up if I lost that piece after working on it all day long... God: This is the second time you've done this. The first time you saved your ass, that should have been warning enough. This time I had to swoop in...for the first and last time here. Me: I super appreciate that God. God: Your a f**king idiot. Me: Thanks God. God: Get the f**k outta here. Me: Till next time...

KICKIN' IT POOLSIDE WITH MY GIRL SPARROW!!!!!! 🤟🏊‍♂️💞🏝💯🤙🎨🌊😃💦🌸🍻🍷🌞🔥🤙🍹🍸🌊🤟 After a great Poolside session I got to catch up with the homie Leandro (@leandro_flaherty ) after a good 8 year stint. Leandro and I met in Jersey roughly 25 years ago, being amongst a handful of artists in that area that you could count on one hand; we spent a lot of time together back in the day. Catching up every few years or so, I recently learned that he sailed to Miami Beach from Jersey City a few years back and now lives on his boat the 'IRIS' here in the Biscayne Bay just 'swimming distance' from where I'm at! So, we got together to catch up and had more than a a full day... After checking out his new (vintage) Mercedes Benz, 1969, Unimog 404, turbo swapped ex Swiss military personnel carrier; we took his dinghy out to the IRIS where he is anchored out at The Venetian Islands for a tour of his yacht and drinks. The IRIS is a fully restored traditionally designed Tayana 37, circa 1980 full keel, cutter rig by the legendary Bob Perry. It's basically an apartment in a small yaucht....a very DOPE apartment indeed!!! From there we ventured out to Monumemt Isand to take in the Sunset during a swim. There is a whole community of people who live on boats here that operate like a fully functioning neighborhood! We met one of them and his dogs along the way to the island and kicked for a bit before catching the Sunset. There is a whole lot I want to write about this day, I surely will in another post soon. For now, I'll say it was great to stay up till 1am on his sailboat talking art, Argentina, society, science fiction, politics, traveling, Miami, San Francisco, mutual friends, whats been going on in lives this last decade and our future life ambitions over some beers and birthday cake! Both of us realized well into the night that in the 25+ years we've known eachother, this was the first time we actually hung out one on one with no mutal friends involved!!! It's also his birthday week, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY Leandro!!!!! 🎁🎆😃❤️🤟🍭🍾🧃🌞🎆🎉🎈🍻🤙🎁 Good catching up Leo and hope to not to wait another (near) decade to do it again! #imonaboat⚓️ #MIAMIBEACHROCKS

KICKIN' IT POOLSIDE WITH MY GIRL ARAN ENJOYING THE SUNSET.... 🌞💙🦋👠🏊‍♂️💯🎨🧜‍♀️🤙🏝🥵🌸💞🤟 I thought this photo was funny because my friend, Aran is all about palm trees, she even has a tattoo on her lower keg of a palm tree as her heel points directly to a set of palm trees. I noticed this after I took the pic and I know she'll appreciate it. Me: You've got a set of exquisite legs there Aran. What's your secret? Aran: Thank you Dave, I do kickboxing on the reg. Me: You know your the only person that gets to call me 'Dave'.. Aran: You know Dave, your the only person who gets to draw my legs. Me: Right on Aran. Aran: Right on Dave After sunset, I found the wackiest bar in Miami Beach just a block and a half from me called 'Dewey's'. It's a Christmas and Easter themed dive bar with outdoor street side seating, where the outdoor area reads more like a sports bar. Just above the front of the bar is a Space Invader piece. They even have a black toilet on the bathroom...cool. I'm just trying to imagine the think tank that came up with the idea of creating an Irish Christmas/ Easter themed dive sports bar in Miami Beach.. Genius? Perhaps. More adventures on the way..

KICKIN' IT POOLSIDE WHILE INDULGING IN WHAT IS QUICKLY BECOMING A NEWLY AQUIRED FEMALE FOOT FETISH 👠💦🌊🦋🍹🌞🔥🥵💞🌸🏝❤️💧⚡️💜 I've spent so long drawing hands, then portraits and now it's women's feet! It feels good to switch things up... If having a foot fetish is illegal, then please arrest me. I kinda feel like I'm on par with Quintin Tarantino, Alfred Hitchcock and Gloria Estefan in this artistic motif... I'm specifically digging this new foot piece. Though the model is pretty young, this foot can easily be perceived of a woman much older due to the intricate line and texture detail. All those lines are simply bone structure mixed with skin pours and muscle texture. My attempt was to capture as much of those skin details as possible. I worked a couple of hours on sketching this one out before inking. I figure I got at least half the foot detail in before stopping and deciding to allow some negative space. I think the next version of this foot may be even more detailed then this one. Then of course, I may relax and do a simplified third version. I like doing multiples of the sane subject reference because I feel there are so many different ways to capture and perceive a single image or moment. Additionally, I just like zoning out and meditating as I explore and fill in every tiny intricate detail. I think that is why I really enjoy drawing elderly(ish) people so much. So many damn lines to enjoy... Oh!!!!... and then afterwards I got sucked into the Miami Beach vortex known as @macsclubdeuce . See Pic 9 for some sweet California ❤️
