There are things that can teach you more than any medal could.
Getting to learn from my coach not just as an athlete, but also as someone who can teach and lead has been a completely different kind of journey. From helping teach classes, to judging at the martial arts events where I first started, to being trusted to teach my very first seminar… it honestly feels unreal sometimes.
For a long time, I was just that kid chasing big tricks and trying to prove myself. But now I’m starting to see that maybe one day I can really contribute to this sport too not just by competing, but by inspiring others and sharing what I’ve learned with people around the world.
This journey is more than medals and trophies. Helping other people improve, gain confidence, and enjoy the sport feels rewarding in a different way.
I still have a lot to learn, but I’m grateful for every lesson my coaches and mentors continue to pass down to me.
