We have been working hard behind the scenes on our mentorship programme in collaboration with @overviewuk . It was important to us that the mentorship took a holistic approach to the music industry and therefore we have been offering mental health workshop sessions with the wonderful @imolakomuves .
This weeks session covers imposter syndrome, something many of us suffer with in the music industry. We have all felt that our success may not be deserved or have self doubt in our abilities. We believe workshops such as these can help the mentees face the issue head on and thrive in an industry that is increasingly demanding of us.
Our mentee’s have come so far already on this mentorship and we are very proud! 💜

What a night! Our DJ mentee’s from the Levels Workshop with @lakota.bristol has come to an end!
To celebrate we threw a friends and family event which gave the mentee’s the opportunity to do a 30 minute DJ set and wow did they smash it! We can’t quite believe that just over 2 months ago they didn’t even know how to use a pair of decks never mind play to an audience!
We could not be more proud of how far they’ve come 💜 we wish them all the best for the future!

We are coming to the end of our Levels DJ workshop in collaboration with @lakota.bristol !
It has been truly humbling and incredible to watch these aspiring DJs develop their skills and grow throughout over the past couple of months! We are so proud of what they have achieved so far 🥰
We were very lucky to have @mynuleng , @gotsomedj , @kyrist_ & @djeuphonique in last week, who brought their wealth of knowledge and industry experience to pass on to the mentee’s!
We believe that in order to push towards equality in the industry is all starts with workshops like these, whether that is DJ’ing or Production courses! We have created a safe and welcoming space from them to learn without judgement and for them to work collaboratively together and offer each other support! It’s our hope that we have given them the tools to go off and continue to develop their own sound and style.. and who knows maybe we’ll even get to see them headline their own show one day!

The first week we started the session with pizza and drinks to break the ice and then focused the learning around basic music theory and an equipment introduction!

LAKOTA X DYNAMICS LEVELS WORKSHOP
We’re proud to present to you a new collaborative DJ course with the incredible @dynamics_uk .
This programme is a free DJ course designed for female and non-binary participants. The course seeks to ‘level out the playing field’ for those who take an interest in DJing and are beginners or have almost no experience.
OUR AIMS:
- To make this course as diverse and inclusive as possible
- To be a transformative experience for those looking to break into the music industry
- Provide participants with the knowledge, foundations and networking opportunities to get started and build a potential career on
- To be a fun and enjoyable way of learning the basics of DJing alongside like minded people
Participants will benefit from tutorship from a group of established DJs and producers.

Spaces are extremely limited to ensure that participants receive sufficient one-to-one time with their tutors.
