✌️ PEACE ✌️ Earlier in the week Elzee (who as an outdoor golden hour photographer, obsesses over the weather) told me she had cancelled her Sunday photoshoot due to bad weather forecast. I responded “that’s Treazy’s Piece for Peace Day, ain’t no way it’ll be raining. He’s in touch with The Universe and shit.” Sure enough, Sunday morning and it’s pissing down rain ☔️ and, speaking honestly, I didn’t really feel up to the task of painting - too much work and other things on my mind. BUT, it’s Treazy’s thing, and if he’s putting his energy into something, I knew I had to show up and “give peace a chance”. As I packed my kit, the sky looked pretty gloomy and set in for the day, and the radar was predicting the same - storms even. @lennylens sent me photos of the Ekibin drains filling up with water. I responded: “I’m sure Treazy on the case. “Meant to rain all day but probably just a little adversity to test the waters. “Probably end up being sunny with a chance of burners - if T got anything to do with it.” I arrived at Ekibin to blue skies and good vibes. Helluva day. Even managed to snag a spot for a fun spray. Thanks @drapl for buffing the spot. LEGEND! 🎩 Hat tip @iamtervo for your efforts both yesterday and ongoing to keep these walls online. And Lens for (yesterday AND) everything for 20 years!! If I saw ya yesterday, it was good to see ya!! ✌️ 👽 #iwanttobelieve #pieceforpeace @treazytreaz @pieceforpeace_movement @traveling_gypsy

Happy birthday Chris. Thanks for the lessons while you were here, and especially the ones since you left! The kick up the arse I needed. Love you mate. 🌹 Wish I could open my door tomorrow morning and see you sleeping on the front deck, keys in hand, didn’t quite open the door after too many beers from the celebration you should be having tonight. ❤️

Tomorrow night we are launching a publication project, titled ‘Unalive’, that I’ve been working on with the graffiti writer SU!C!DE. This is the teaser video I cut for the project. The publication is published by @artillerymagazine and it’s the first publication we’ve done in 10 years. Over the past six years, bringing my vision for Artillery back to life has been heavy in my soul and always on my mind. It sounds silly now, but even as I worked in the background on Artillery, the fear was real! Kids to feed, and bills to pay, I listened to well meaning advice and pushed Artillery to the back burner. Still, my vision was there, bubbling away under the surface. Centimetres at a time, I slowly realised that this is what I’m here to do, to make this Artillery shit real. To turn dreams into reality. And over the last year or so, I’ve leaned into the fear, and taken some major steps back to prioritise whatever this Artillery thing is. I pushed harder on building the web shop, so I’d have base to support the publishing/ media side. We’re not there yet, but this new project marks a massive milestone on the journey and I’m beyond excited to share it with the world. It’s easy to get lost in the sauce of life, and there’s been moments where it’s felt like it would be easier to go get a fucken job. But doing something to build culture, something that feels important, trumps all that. These lyrics from my friend Chris West have been running through my mind a lot; “I’d rather be broke and have a whole lot of respect”. Definitely not tryna be broke, but doing something inspirational feels more important than just stacking cash. 👀 The ‘Unalive’ zine is launching 7pm AEST tomorrow, Sunday 3pm, at artilleryworldwide.com – I hope you’ll check it out. It’s the first of many more to come!!! Follow @artillerymagazine for updates.
