circa United We Stand recording, when flip phones were peak tech and generic in-ears felt like a flex. 17 years old and had just written my first United song. Wild to look back at the last 20 years and see God weaving everything together for His purposes, and now looking ahead with faith that we’re just getting started..
Grateful to have written this one alongside some of my favorites — @zvcmusic@johnmichaelhowell@josiahqueenmusic

Been wanting this guitar ever since I first saw Coldplay live in Sydney in 2003. Finally got my hands on one thanks to @fenderbilly and @fender . Dreams really do come true.
Was a joy to be a part of this song with @brandonlake@benjaminwilliamhastings and @hankbentley . One of my favorite things is that Brandon’s vocals are from the night we wrote it. The boys were mid-tour, exhausted, and his voice sounded so rad. More importantly, we got to capture that moment, singing about the infinite nature of our God.
“More light than the sun can compete with,
more power than the sum of my demons,
more light than the dark can contend with,
more life than my heart had expected…”
We serve an everlasting, all-powerful God, and I’m constantly reminded that the masterpiece He’s painting is far grander than the little canvas we perceive right now.
Making music with this human is one of the biggest blessings in my life. @brookeligertwood thank you for being you and for always listening to the Holy Spirit.
It was such an honor to help reimagine some of the songs that have helped me and so many others in worship, and for the new songs, I pray they minister to everyone just as they do to me.
Cheers to 8.!
Loved getting to sit down with Brooke and chat about all things music directing.! These @CREATR conversations were intentionally made to make sure you’re given practical tools you can use right away. Head to the link in my bio to watch
