For years we have supported and rallied behind an organization called Vital Voices. Every year they host a Global Leadership Awards, honoring phenomenal women impacting their communities, all over the world, in meaningfully positive ways.
We will be sharing more of their incredible work here… and start, we thought this deeply personal introduction by Bozoma Saint John sharing her experience as a Mother while also shining light on The Barefoot Walk and the broader “Mothers’ Call for Peace” movement was the perfect start.
Led by Palestinian activist Reem Al-Hajajreh Israeli activist Yael Admi (Reem Al-Hajajreh is the founder of Women of the Sun, while Yael Admi is a co-founder of Women Wage Peace), together, they co-founded the Mothers’ Call initiative, which brought Israeli and Palestinian mothers together to advocate for peace, dialogue, and women’s inclusion in peacebuilding efforts.

Before Dylanlex, I was a designer that sourced and working closely with artisans and manufacturers all over the world. India in particular left a lasting mark on me. I fell in love with the intricate hand-spun filigree and generations of craftsmanship behind it. Inspiring our first collection and many to come after. So when I met this incredible team in Tokyo last year, collaborating felt effortless. Dylanlex has always been rooted in worldly energy, and we as humans thrive with community, and connection… I am endlessly grateful to create alongside people who bring soul and life into every piece.
