Kept coming back to one question while building this: what does a noise-cancelling headphone actually do?
It blocks the world out. But you’re still in it.
静寂. Sei and Jaku. Stillness within noise.
That tension became the brief. One person moving through three states. Every design decision traces back to that same feeling.
Find Your Signal.
Built a headphone brand from scratch this week called SEIJAKU. The name means stillness within noise in Japanese, which became the whole idea. A guy moving through the chaos of the city, headphones on, completely in his own world. Then the same guy in a Zen garden, raking sand, at peace.
Three worlds. One brand. One character.
Probably the most creatively satisfying week so far. Got back to my design roots and actually enjoyed the process instead of just rushing to get something out.
SEIJAKU. Find Your Signal.
Been trying to make my images feel more consistent lately. Using the same characters and pushing a more stylized look so everything feels like it belongs in the same world. Trying to use AI in a way that feels more intentional.
I’ve been drawn to a visual world shaped by ordinary rooms and quiet moments.
Tailor shops.
Barbershops.
Living rooms where everyone gathers.
Places that seem small at first, but hold whole histories inside them.
Here’s a teaser for a project I’ve been quietly building over the last few weeks.
This one pushed me technically and creatively more than anything I’ve done before. New workflows, new tools, a lot of trial and error and a lot of AI credits burned in the process 😅
It’s still in progress, but I couldn’t resist putting this teaser out there. I’m genuinely excited about where this is heading.
Full piece coming soon.
Most people know me for VFX and motion design, but I have been editing for a long time and it is still one of the parts of the process I enjoy most. I realised I had never put together a reel that actually reflects that.
So I pulled my favourite shots from the last ten years and cut something with a darker, more cinematic tone, that feels true to my taste.
If this feels like the kind of energy you want in your edit, let’s work together.
Super proud of this piece I worked on for @netflixsa while at @iconic.agency I put a lot of love into the details! It was one of those projects worth going the extra mile.
Shout out to @damndemarco for the killer sound and the team at @iconic.agency for making it happen.
