Numtek, aka Dylan Hallegraeff, has provided us and many organisations for years already with the equipment to turn every room into a proper rave environment. He’s an expert on lighting and lasers and will create a massive show for us in the basement area to accompany the music there. To top it off, he will also kick off the night by presenting some tracks from his upcoming release. So come early if you want to catch him play some of his tunes!
Numtek, a native of The Hague, Netherlands, had a passion for electronic music from a young age. As he grew older, he began to attend more and more parties and festivals, immersing himself in the underground (hard)tekno scene. One night, while he was lost in the music and the crowd, someone turned to him and made a comment that would stick with him forever. "You know you're at a tekno party when the distortion follows rhythmic patterns,"
For Numtek, this was a revelation. He had always known that tekno was about more than just beats and melody, but he had never been able to put it into words. The distortion, he realized, was an integral part of the music, not just an artifact of the sound system. It was a deliberate choice, a way of enhancing the rhythms and intensifying the experience.
From that moment, Numtek began to see tekno in a new light. He started to pay closer attention to the way the music was constructed, the way the different elements interacted with each other. He began to experiment with his own music, incorporating distortion and other effects to create a unique sound that was both intense and hypnotic.
Over the years, Numtek became a fixture on the tekno scene, travelling to parties and festivals all over Europe and beyond. Wherever he went, he is known for his ability to create a visceral, immersive experience
For Numtek, tekno is more than just music - it was a way of life. A way of connecting with others, of expressing himself, of pushing the boundaries of what was possible. And as long as he has a sound system and a crowd, he knows he'll always be at home.
DEN HAAG, DAAR GAAN WE!
Bij het vorige Unmute Us protest van 21 Augustus j.l., heeft Den Haag zijn stedelijke alliantie met Rotterdam aangehaald. Dat werd een groot succes. Op 11 september a.s. gaan we nu ook in Den Haag de straat op. Aangezien wij nog geen serieuze reactie vanuit de landelijke politiek hebben ontvangen, laten we ons opnieuw horen voor de evenementenbranche en nachtcultuur.
Wij willen hiermee ons verhaal en onze argumenten kracht bijzetten. Want het is nog steeds niet uit te leggen dat in landen om ons heen met maatregelen van Fieldlab Evenementen wordt gewerkt en dat hier deze topsector nagenoeg stil wordt gelegd.”
We gaan er samen met jullie een super mooi protest van maken en willen jullie vragen om ons te helpen het vooral gezellig, maar ook schoon te houden. Zaterdag 11 september trekt er vanaf 14.00 een muzikale karavaan door Den Haag. De aanvang locatie zal later aangekondigd worden.
