as frisbee season ramps back up and I find myself driving to another party tournament, it’s hard to believe I’m on year 4 of this project. one day it’ll be a book if I can somehow decide I’m done shooting… in the meantime here are some favs from the sidelines

dug deep into the undergrad archives (hard drives) to talk to @dylan.hausthor ‘s Directorial and Sculptural Photo class at @mecaphotodept today. fun to see some fragments of things that are still swirling around in my brain 10 years later thanks for having me and for asking such thoughtful questions 💕

I started photographing my family when I was in @sasha.rudensky photography 1 class my freshman year of college. I think at first I did it because they were willing(ish) subjects and I wanted to be like Larry Sultan. We had recently become a 3-woman family and were all a little shaken up by this new dynamic. A lot of shit happened in a short amount of time—my dad died, my mom got cancer, other good and bad milestones came and went and I just tried to make a picture or two through it all to try to understand what was happening. I made a lot of pictures of them over the years (most of which they hate, btw), but I never really thought the pictures would go anywhere. It was more a project for me, to process, to grieve, to understand my mom and sister and myself better. 12 years later I am still figuring it all out, and they still, reluctantly, let me photograph them (sometimes). Excited to share that Hannah (Peas) will be part of 𝒮𝓊𝒹𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓁𝓎 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝓃𝑜𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔, a group photography show opening at Harkawik gallery in New York this Saturday. Would love to see you if you’re in town.

Dreamsicle, 2025 24 x 10 x 5 inches foam, aqua resin, paper pulp, wood, house paint One of 4 sculptures headed to Atlanta for Ars Machina · Corpus Digitum (The Art of the Machine • The Digital Body) curated by Hannah Hendricks @pasteldeer at GoGo Gallery | South River Art Studios opening October 17! About the show: In the wake of rapid technological advancement over the past five years, tools once confined to speculative fiction—generative AI, biometric surveillance, neural interfaces—have become fully realized aspects of daily life. This new digital normal brings with it a strange dissonance: convenience clashing with unease and progress shadowed by ethical ambiguity. What does it mean to be human when the boundaries between body, machine, and identity are increasingly blurred? On View 10.17.25-10.26.25 @southriverartstudios South River Art Studios 1300 Fleetwood Dr SE, Atlanta
