Synopsis: At an ancient tree, Taiwanese-American Justin Sun mourns his uncle with his girlfriend, spiraling into a memory of his uncle's unannounced visit from China a decade earlier: During a tense car ride to the destination, their unforeseen intimacy offered Justin fleeting refuge from his fractured blended family and diasporic alienation—a warmth that lingers like forbidden tenderness.
