« Action directe » the world’s first 9a... 💤💎 - It remains one of my best memories in climbing so far, not just for the difficulty of the performance, as it only took me 6 attempts, but for a multitude of other reasons...⬇️⬇️⬇️ Such as the fact that it’s one of the most iconic routes in the world, and its status impressed me; I hesitated to dive into it. Also, because I was recovering from a pulley injury (total A4 rupture), and I chose this route because I could climb it without using my ring finger. Because, yes, I missed trying hard routes terribly! The fact that this historically significant belay is the first one I clip since the injury... This sequence 100m above the ground is just absolutely crazy to climb!!🤯 I went to check out and clean the pitches of the multipitch “Sauve qui pleut” (8c/+ max), first ascended by @samuelometz a few years ago, and I completely fell in love with it… Another five-star line that truly shows Sam’s vision. Revisiting the classic Permanent Midnight ~ 6 years later, after splitting open my pinky on my first try on Solitary and tweaking my knee a bit… The kind of King Line I could climb every day and never get tired of! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📽️ @frast_and_furious

Pèlerinage project ⬇️⚒️ This crux section is incredibly fun to climb—it’s the perfect mix of gripping tiny holds, technique, precision, body tension, and power endurance. It looks hard to do from the ground, but it feels possible! I’ve discovered new methods that are completely different from the previous ones in several sections. There’s a blend of frustration, as I feel like I’m restarting the process from scratch, but also excitement to try out this new beta. ⬇️ « Pèlerinage » project ⬇️ The final section of Pèlerinage! Ultra-technical moves on tiny footholds, with really poor shoulder moves and underclings… such a pleasure to climb. ⬇️ « Pèlerinage » [project] ⚔️⬇️ First impressions of the first sequences I found on the old Salève project: “Pèlerinage”. Pèlerinage is hard, physical, endurance-based, technical, and above all complex in terms of beta… but most importantly, it’s a king line!! Can’t wait to share more updates about this big project, located just 10 minutes from where I grew up. This route is a piece of history from the region where I was born, raised, and discovered climbing. But it’s also a serious performance challenge… what more could I ask for? « Vénèr à Sion » [9a] FA ⬇️ Sion has its first route in the 9th grade 🥳! This new route starts with the classic 6b of the cliff, topped by a beautiful 50° panel. When you get into the panel, it’s straight into a very stylish no-foot section, then 4 powerful moves to reach a 3-move boulder problem that’s all about body tension. It’s short, intense, and really fun to climb! The line goes right through the middle of the big overhang of the cliff, and this section is really cool! For the grade, I’m not really sure. The few climbers who tried it found it hard, but it’s very short, I didn’t imagine a grade higher than 9a. The methods will probably improve: I used the first methods I found, but there are surely other possibilities.
