Well, it happened...
We premiered our duo show SISSY in Cirk-UFF 2023 in the Czech Republic.
It feels like time to take a moment and reflect on what a massive process it was to bring this work to life.
After 3 creative developments over the period of 3 years we finally shared it with an audience and oh how it felt surreal. We are deeply proud of it, and deeply proud of the team that made it happen.
We are so grateful to our whole creative team, and can’t believe we managed to pull together such an experienced team of creators and artists to work with us from the outside. We want to say a huge thank to our core artistic team, we know that this work would be nothing without all of you. Every single one of you went above and beyond, putting a level of passion, dedication and expertise into the work which is immeasurable.
We feel so touched to have received such strong reviews and feedback on the work, it is always terrifying presenting something that has had so much of yourselves poured into it. Some of our favourite words written about it below…
“A masterful use of theatricality. Captivating and completely original.”
“Comically sarcastic to tragically compassionate”
“Self-deprecatingly funny and touching”
Finally, a huge thank you to all of our supporters listed below. We are deeply grateful for all the trust and support you gave us. We don’t take this pressure and responsibility lightly, we are so lucky to have you all and we hope we did you proud.
The work is so personal to all of us involved, and it’s so lovely to share this with each other, but more importantly an audience. A line from the blurb which resonates…
At its core, SISSY aims to remind us of those we are closest to, those we have lost, and that which we have lost in ourselves.

A moment to reflect is in order, as there is finally a moment to pause…
The Mirror, GOM‘s latest work which was commissioned by the @sydneyoperahouse and @chamtheater , after over 100 shows, and both premiere seasons, is on pause for a little while. What a privilege to work with this team of creatives, to have the trust of such prestigious venues and be a part of a team that created such a beautiful work, that I hope has a long life to come.
This is a project I will never forget.
Thank you Darcy Grant for your trust and for continually challenging me to grow as artist, to the core GOM directors for your constant love and support, to the incredible artists and friends I work with day in day out, and to the venues, with a special mention to Anke, Hendrick, Geordie and Ralph for your warmth and care.
